Take 1 drink every time:
1) James says "mmmm...mmmm".
2) Louis says "Oh My!". (In tribute to George Takei).
3) You can visualize Ken frothing at the mouth, or Ken is clearly totally confused.
4) Louis is clearly looking something up on the internet while trying to talk.
5) James says "sorry/thanks/well done/cheers, mate".
Take 2 drinks whenever:
1) Ken says "In Russell We Trust."
2) Louis amusingly slaughters an acronym ("NSTC"/NTSC, "British Sterling Pounds"/British Pounds Sterling, or really GBP/Great British Pound).
3) Mention is made of the pre-show meeting being thrown out the window.
4) Someone (usually Louis) says "heh, we got sidetracked there".
5) "Excellent", or another show quote is dubbed into the background of the conversation, including "Stay on Target".
Take 3 drinks whenever:
1) One of the hosts clearly loses track of the fact that there are other people on the podcast. (i.e. rants)
2) Louis spends more time correcting himself than it took to say the original phrase.
3) James says something totally English.
4) Ken mentions driving long distances.
5) There is a problem with the "newsroom" sound effect.
Take 4 drinks whenever:
1) Ken complains about the recording equipment.
2) James sounds like he is on the other side of a Dalek time tunnel.
3) Ken pimps Hair Hut.
4) James mentions his girlfriend in the U.S..
5) Mention is made of Louis being a vegetarian or a "51st century guy".
Take 4 drinks whenever:
1) The Podshock Drinking Game is mentioned.
What else should there be?!?!
In good fun -

every time James says "sorry to step on your toes, mate."
every time Ken throws the show prep out the window and gets Louis noticibly flustered. It's just a matter of time until blood will flow. |

This is fun! If you really want to get blasted, take a sip every time I utter out "umm..." (especially in the episode when I flew solo).
Hey, can the hosts play as well? I think that will make a very interesting podcast... we will all be completely trashed by time we get to the features segment...
Hmm...
Cheers,

| Only if it is "Live, from the Last Chance Saloon in Tombstone, Arizona..." and the feature is a review of the classic: The Gunfighters!

Genius! I think that is a plan!
Or better yet, while we do a commentary for The Gunfighters...
Cheers (in more ways than one),

If you have every listened to "Slice of Sci-Fi's Wingin' It", or "Diggnation", you can enjoy the sounds of geeky drunken podcasting.
I think it would be hilarious for you all to do an episode listening to one of your own podcasts and drinking.
But calling each other on the rules during a "special edition" podcast would be funny as well...

I think it's quite the complete list! All I can think to add would be a drink whenever there's a problem with the "newsroom sound." |

Works for me as I had been up all night doing post production work on the show finishing up at 6:30 AM... now I am ready for a drink!

I have been listening to Diggnation since the beginning... but I have to admit that lately I have been contemplating unsubscribing to it because in part the focus sometimes seems to shift too much on their consumption of alcohol in the podcast than the top tech news they pick out from digg.com. Not that I object to Kevin and Alex drinking while podcasting... but hearing about it all the time tends to get a little old after a while, not to mention distracting.
Perhaps I am just spoiled by Jame's podcast... where he (and now Simon too) can sample ale and review it on their podcast without sounding juvenile.
I haven't checked out Slice of Sci-Fi's Wingin' It yet. Perhaps I should.
Cheers,
Louis

| I guess that puts you in the 0.05% of the population that does not like juvenile antics in mass media, like fart jokes...

So what would everyone's poison of choice be while listening to Podshock?
(Perhaps I should invest in those companies - )
