Hi all - and Louis in particular - if you 'save' a podcast and then edit in Audacity - when you re-save it will it be at the right (same) 56k speed?
And do you 'upload' the edited version with '.mp3' file type?
EDIT - do I upload it with excactly the same name as I downloaded it?
I will (or West) have to really trim todays CIA podcast.

Right I'm uploading the shortened recording now - down to 33 minutes - but the bit-rate is 128k - I hope that will work from the TalkShoe site.

You always should "prefer" to edit any audio file in the best format available and only encode down to the final format as the last step. Multiple decoding/encoding cycles tends to degrade audio quality similar to generations of analog audio tape recording.
Sometimes the format you get the source material in cannot be helped...
Enjoy the wine... |

I am glad you worked it all out. Sorry, I was so busy today that I didn't check the website until now.
Now share some of that wine!
