We may have to break up the review of the first episode of the 2008 series into two different podcasts. One for the in person live audience show at I-CON and one for the over the net live audience show via Talkshoe. Only because it may not be fair for ether audience to 'compete' for airtime on the same show.
This is assuming we do have live audience at I-CON since at this time we still don't have any guests lined up... and probably only a fraction of die-hard fans would have seen the first episode by that time at I-CON.
But alas, "the show must go on." The first year we appeared at I-CON, we didn't have a guest either and we were still surprised by the amount of people that attended the live show at the convention.

If you can match my appearance fee (a jelly baby) I may be persuaded to make the trek out to the Island... I'll have to check my schedule. 
P.S. Why are these things scheduled when I want to go out observing (new moon in spring... argh! Best time for a Messier marathon. |

Thanks to James, I just received some fresh Jelly Babies the other night. Direct from the UK. So, I can pay that fee of yours without a problem.
We would love to have you on the show with us. Though I would just hate for you travel all that way and be disappointed (as there are no DW guests at the convention this year unfortunately).

I was seriously considering it. I don't think I'll be able to make it out this weekend. And to get there on time, I'd have to be at Penn Station by at least 7:30 am... a bit too early to be up on the weekend for me. The next train would only give 4 minutes to take care of getting from the train, getting a ticket/etc. and finding the room where you guys are recording. A bit too tight if the main thing I would be planning on attending is the Podshock recording.

Hey, I see John Peel is on the guest list again at I-CON 27. Perhaps scheduling permitting we can have him our live show again?
I hadn't heard anything about him being there, so I just assumed he was not there this year.
Well, I guess we will see what happens.

Thanks to everyone who joined Louis, James (via Skype) and myself this weekend at I-con 27. We always have a nice size crowd and everyone we met were very friendly. I just wish we had more time. For those in attendance, the item in "partners" I couldn't remember was the reference to Mad Martha [MM] for those in the know.
