As many of you may or may not know, I am working on staff with JumpCon now. Also as you may or may not know, JumpCon will be starting it's grand tour of the US staring just weeks from now at the beginning of July. It also means that not only will the JUMP The POD podcast (the official podcast of the JumpCon experience) will be on tour, so will Doctor Who: Podshock. At least in part through my travels. Ken will be joining me at select tour stops. James and Dave (as well as Joe (AKA "Omega") and perhaps more) will be joining us all for the big one in Boston. (More on that later).
Everyone is welcome to join me at the JumpCon events. Be sure to say hi if you are attending, and I hope you do attend.
I know for some people attending may not be a possibility at this time. Perhaps you are overseas or for whatever reason you are unable to attend. There will still be ways to get a taste of the touring convention through this thing we call "the internets."
The podcasts will continue while on tour*. But for immediate updates and inside scoops, I will be tweeting on Twitter - follow me on Twitter to stay posted. I will also be using other services that will post to my Twitter feed alerting my followers on various locations in and around the JumpCon tour stops.
In addition to the podcasts, I will be journaling the adventures on arttrap.com and I will be doing video blogging directly from the tour using a pocket-size video camera to do on-the-fly recording without having to lug around bulky equipment (I am speaking of the Flip Video Mino - if you are interested in it, here is my Initial Review of the Flip Video Mino). This is in addition to a new video edition of JUMP The POD which will begin once the tour begins. Also we should be starting a video feed for Doctor Who: Podshock at that time too.
It's a very exciting time. On behalf of JumpCon, Doctor Who: Podshock, and myself, we hope you all can be a part of it. In one way or another.
Cheers,
Louis
* Our live review podcasts may need to be rescheduled if new Doctor Who episodes continue through July (I suspect they do) as we may or may not be able to schedule them during the conventions themselves. More on this later. |

Right now the last episode (Journey's End) should be July 5 on BBC One, during your first convention in Kalamazoo. This is the one that they spent an extra week filming and is allegedly an extended length. Odds are the live show will need more time than normal to get people's reactions.
SciFi airs Journey's End on August 1, so after that date most people at the conventions should have already seen a version of the episodes or not care if they get spoiled.
After that, should be all clear till Sarah Jane Series 2 in the fall or the Christmas 08 episode. |

Time will tell. It always does, except when it has Laryngitis.

Wish I could make it to see you two again and finally meet James in person. Annoyingly the 90 minute flight to Boston would cost me more than $500. Considerably more than I paid to fly to Heathrow just before Christmas or Los Angeles in February. Crazy.

You'll just need to make a video on how you are the biggest Blake's 7 fan, won't you?

That won't get you to Boston. That will get you to Kalamazoo. If you want to get to Boston you have to do the new contest. Step in to a circle and fight to the death and the winner will have VIP tickets to JUMPCON.
Sort of like this

This is all a joke of course!!! |

| I may be able to attend the Montgomery, AL JUMPCON. I will definitely be at the one in Birmingham in Jan 2009. I look forward to meeting up with you, Louis. |

Did you say "74,384,338 to 1 against"? That's my lucky number!
