We have reported on some of the new Doctor Who toys coming our way soon. So far, from the poll we are running it seems that everyone wants to get their hands on a new Sonic Screwdriver. Hey, I don't blame them, so would I.
But what Doctor Who collectable that does not exist (past or present) would you like to see and obtain for yourself?
If you could have a Doctor Who collectable (it doesn't have to be a toy) that has yet to be ever offered, what would it be?
Myself? Well, I guess I have a few I could think of now....
Are you familiar with the Sony AIBO robot dog... well, what if the same technology was used to create a full-size K9 collectable. Embed a real onboard computer (make mine a Mac please, ) and I will be good to go. Oh, also include the Roomba (robot vacuum cleaner) technology in it as well... and I will be set.
Okay what else?... since we are talking full size, what about a full size TARDIS... well, I guess not a TARDIS per say, but a classic UK Police Box. There have been several homemade plans and people selling TARDIS sheds, and whatnot, but why not commercially produce something that could be ordered and then put together (pre-frab pieces). Make it weather proof so it be placed outdoors in backyards or whatever...
Well, perhaps on a more practical note, what about a decent Doctor Who video game? With all the new consoles out now (XBOX, PS2, PSP, Gamecube) and newer ones just around the corner now, there's not a single Doctor Who video game among them all! Sure there have been attempts in the past (computer games, many not worth mentioning), but that was then and this is now. It is a whole new technological playing field now. Now that we have an incredible fantastic new series, we deserve an equally wonderful new video game title tie-in.
Well, that's it for now.
Cheers,

A K-9 would be cool and so would a Tardis. Surprised that no one in the garden gnome business has created a Tardis or a dalek or a Doctor to put in the garden, somehow I think that would be great fun and very English.
I would love a Dr Who computer game of some sort. I have played the Dalek game on the BBC Dr Who site, that is quite fun to play.
Can't think of anything else really, just happy I will have a radio control dalek soon |

Hmmm... I think I have to go with the TARDIS storage shed. I could actually buy the plans and put it together (I know how to use power tools!) but it's not feasible at this time for me.
One thing I do have that I treasure is the Doctor Who role-playing game. I never could find enough bodies interested in trying out the game to play it, however. |

I got all excited when I first heard the news that Doctor Who was coming to the PSP (Playstation Portable). At long last, a modern DW game!
But alas, it is not a game, but the actual episodes are coming to the UDM format to play on the PSP... which is still very cool.
Here's the link to the BBC news about it here...

| Was that the FASA one, Doctor Who the Role Playing Game, or the Virgin one, Timelord? I actually ran a FASA Doctor Who game in college. (about twenty years ago... )

Ahh, I have that game at home. Never had a chance to play it yet, though. I wonder if they'll ever release a new D20 game...
I do want the TARDIS storage shed. It would look cool in my backyard. |
