A third Doctor Who Magazine? My goodness, that's almost too much.

Of course, if I hadn't spent so much money on Doctor Who Adventures magazines from the UK THAT HAVE NEVER arived (thank you WHO BLACKPOOL for not getting back to me and probably never sending them to me to begin with), maybe I would be more excited...

I want issue 2 (with the TARDIS card case!)

Anyone in the US carry this yet? I've been trying WHONA but no luck. Cry

Is this a magazine that goes along with the DOCTOR WHO TOP TRUMPS card game or something similar?

Got no idea about that - I think the cards have different 'strengths or skills' but whether they are more game play or just like the old bubble-gum collectable type cards I don't know.

The most excitement seemed to be about an early issue with a TARDIS box to keep the card collection in.

If you live in the Westcountry or Grampian television regions, this magazine isn't all that new. It was launched back in April, in limited markets. It's a special purpose Who magazine, designed to support the trading card game of the same name. Additionally, it has an ongoing comic strip of fairly high quality. The first story arc deals with the Doctor and Rose catching up with all the survivors of Platform One ("End of the World"), who are embroiled in a murder mystery.

Now that the game, and the magazine, have passed the "test" phase, it has "relaunched" with a not-so-new #1.

For more information on the original (test) version or the new, wide-release version click through to comicbookdb.com.

To my knowledge, it is not currently available on the primary market in North America. However, you can undoubtedly get it shipped to you from the UK. At the time it was in its test phase, the magazine (not to mention the cards) were selling for phenomenal prices on ebay.co.uk.

From a cursory examination of the game's fora on the web, it's apparently a pretty fun game.
