Tom Baker's Ultimate Sci-Fi Quiz - any good? Views: 1040

Has anyone got played this dvd game which I hope contains some Doctor Who related questions given it is hosted by Tom Baker.

If you've played it can you let me know how you found it, I am thinking about buying it as I hope Tom is his usual entertaing self but am wondering how much knowledge of sci fi (other than Doctor who)you need to have to play the game.

I played it last weekend at a friend's house. I failed miserably. I did pretty well on the Doctor Who, HHGTTG, Star Wars and Star Trek stuff, but there were questions there on many sci-fi things I'd never heard of. Rory (the friend who owns the game) thought maybe it was b/c the focus was on mainly UK stuff, which I was not familiar with (exception being Who). There were Blake 7 questions, Quatermas (spelling?), Day of the Trifids and other items that most people on this forum will probably know very well.

Tom Baker was completely enjoyable, and worth it just to have him berate me on the DVD for getting some questions wrong.

    supremacy is relative

Thanks for the feedback I fgure I would be quite good on Doctor Who (obviously) and Star Wars, keep meaning to watch HHGTTG but haven't made it yet but figure I would struggle. My family don't quite share my obsession with Doctor Who so not sure how often I could get them to play it with me.

I played it two or three time and did pretty well but to be honest I got bored with it pretty quickly - I guess it might be fun played with a few friends after a couple of drinks at your local pub.
