just checked out the the torchwood offical site..
http://www.torchwood.org.uk/
and the title says "THE ORGANISAION YOU ARE LOOKING FOR DOES NOT EXIST"
the the panel says "access denied"
doesn't that mean there IS something there and that you are denied access to organisation that doesn't exist ???
now that is confusing

I am sure that is just a placeholder there now until the site is ready to reveal itself... probably closer to the launch of Torchwood.

hi louis.
i understand that the site is a holding point
it's just that the idea of it is conflicting .
"we" know that it is the site for TORCHWOOD, but the guys who've created the site have put it in such a way that it doesn't make any sence ???
why have somthing that says "the organisation YOU ARE LOOKING FOR dosen't exist" but have "torchwood : access denied".
THEY should have just put up the denied message. and nothing else.
can you see what i mean?? |

If nothing else they are trying to emphasize the secrecy that is part and parcel to the Torchwood organization.
I'm sure the site will be revealed after the next two episodes. I can't wait till October when we can see the what they've produced. |

Yep, I gotcha. You are right. My only guess is that the page title ("the organisation you are looking for...") and the graphic on the page were done at different times, perhaps by different people... and they did not realise that the two are conflicting with each other.

Oh, come on now... this is typical government agency double speak. You deny something exists, but in the same breath give clues where to find it. Nothing is more terrifying than the unknown. And knowing you don't know adds to the fear... Torchwood is as much a deterrant as a defence... |

Alright, so HOW did Torchwood take over the site of a corporation that exists in an Alt-verse? My head is spinning with the prospect.... I know they had a version of the Torchwood Institute in the Alt-verse, but since the Doctor hadn't been there before, the odds of THAT TI having the same mandate are astronomical.
oh, and yes, I know I'm taking this too literally. |
