"The 7-disk Season One box set is set for release in America during that same week"
7 discs? For Torchwood? There were, what, 13 episodes? What do they need 7 discs for? The Torchwood Declassified were all short, too, right?
That's a noodle-scratcher.
I saw the other part that said over 6 hours of bonus features. They must have more than just the Declassifieds. They must be planning on putting three episodes on a disc (that's 4), episode 13 plus 2 hours of bonus, maybe the Declassifieds (that's 5), 4 more hours of bonus (that's 6), ??? |

From the article on Freema's site:
| [Quote Richard Briers is the latest to join the line-up, playing Parker, a reclusive millionaire who is the keeper of alien secrets, much later in the series. |
|
Do you think Parker is that guy who was buying up the alien gear on ebay in the last series? You know the episode I mean... with the dead guy who swallowed that marble thing? (too lazy today to look it up, sorry) |

There was quite a bit of video content on the Torchwood site that we outside could not access. It could be this footage that is included in amongst the bonuses. |

Wow. Did I read that press release correctly?
Torchwood Season 2 is premiering in the US in January?
That's like real-time... uh... wow. I never thought they'd do that.
I wonder if they'll do the same for Doc Who?
Sean.

Well colour me stunned! (The extra "u" for my Canadian and British friends. I'm Canadian, but living in the US forces me to drop my extra "u"s. Or for that matter, not drop an extra "u" but generally not use the proper "u". Oh well, semantics.)
I'm a bit amazed. Not only that BBCa is doing this, but that Torchwood was such a resounding success on the channel. I guess it was helped along a bit by what seemed to be long Torchwood blocks everywhere throughout the schedule.
Even my wife (who had not seen them before) became a fan. She's always watched the Doctor Who new episodes with me and enjoyed them, but we never watched Torchwood together, for whatever reason.
She was really getting into it on BBCa.
I think this may bode well for reasonable start-up times for the next WHO season as well. I hope.
Sean.
