I'm not sure what the official start date is, but this past Saturday, BBC America showed the series 1 finale and after the credits rolled, announced that series 2 would be starting January 26. So it looks like it should start in the UK very soon after the new year!
any news from that end? |

I haven't seen anything yet on a firm air date for the UK, yet. My guess is that we will get an announcement three to four weeks before the actual air date. I would also guess that it would be mid-January (right after all the Christmas/holiday programming is out of the way.

| I can't remember where I saw it (OG Forum?) but I remember hearing a Jan 13 UK start date - I remember the discussion that the USA was only going to be a few weeks behind the UK. |

If that is correct, then there could be two or three weekends with both series (Torchwood & Doctor Who) on in late March, early April. |

I'm a little out of touch with Torchwood's showing on BBC America. Can anyone tell me if there are commercials on BBC America and are the episodes edited for the adult content (cursing/sexual situations, etc.)?
Thanks! |

I dont know about sexual situations but RUBISH ones I can agree with
ok. lastnight after the season ending of Heroes (S1 on BBC2) they had a promo for Torchwood.
saying that it was coming soon and it would be on BBC2 (no logo in corner of screen!) and on a wednesday in January.
So its either 2nd 9th 16th 23rd 30th of Jan.
I thing its either 2nd or 9th my money is on 2nd. so it can be pushed as part of new year/xmas viewing

| sexual content was out and proud, but the swearing was removed. There was silence where there used to be words. I actually like the silence instead of the voice over adding things like "Darn!" or "Shoot!" instead of the alternatives... or "Frack!" for you know. |

| If you get HDNet then you can watch Torchwood uncut and without commercials and in HD. Not too shabby. |

| During Life on Mars tonight, BBCA showed clips from season 2 of TW. Showed Capt Jack saying, "Did you miss me?" and some stuff about the end of the world... |

Yes. They look excellent in HD. I hope they also release them on disc in HD (HD DVD and/or Blu-ray). I have spoiled now seeing them HD on HDNet. I can't go back to SD now.
Cheers,

i was watching Torchwood on BBCAmerica tonght and they showed a preview trailer for season two. James"Spike" Marsters and Captain Jack in a gun-to-gun faceoff. Too cool! I can't wait! Plus, the first two episodes of Doctor Who season three as a lead-in.

| Just watched a BBC America promo for Dr Who (Series 3) at 7pm & Torchwood (Series 2) at 9pm, beginning Jan 26. Won't this be confusing for US viewers, when Martha joins Torchwood midseason, but has yet to meet Jack in Dr Who? |

US viewers with the SciFi Channel should already have had the opportunity to see series 3 of Doctor Who last summer, so it should not be a problem. |
