While away in NJ and Brooklyn this past weekend for work I managed to find a used copy of the Carnival Of Monsters DVD for $10 in a F.Y.E. store in Rockaway NJ's big mall. (They also have the Key To Time series used for like $49, if anyone near there is looking for it).
$10 is a steal of a price for me, as usually Doctor Who DVDs are about $30 - $35 here at home (although I am sure Mike Doran probably knows a place locally where they're cheaper), so I was thrilled to find one I already didn't have used.
My son and I just finished watching it and it was grand. Pertwee and Katy Manning are great in it, such an interesting story line and the rest of the cast is pretty strong too. Can't wait to watch it with the commentary on too!

I think 'Carnival of Monsters' is a great story.
Glad you enjoyed it.

I picked up about 8 or 9 Doctor who DVDs (new) at our local Fry's for $9.99 each. Titles included 'the 5 doctors', 'Robots of Death', 'The Leisure Hive', 'Vengance on Varos', 'The aztecs', 'The Androids of Tara', 'The Armagedon Factor', Spearhead from Space' and 'resurrection of the Daleks'. Additonally, I picked up the 'Horror of Fang Rock' for $14.99 and the Series 2 Box Set for $69.99.
I would pop into the store if you have one nearby, as their web prices for everything appear to be $5 more than I paid in-store (with the exception of the box set) |

Sadly, I live in Canada and we don't have that shop up here. If I did find a store with that many Doctor Who DVDs used for $9.99, I might pass out. |

100% agreement. One of my all time favourites. From (probably) my favourite Doctor. |

| I expect 80% of the Doctor Who DVD's I own were purchased used or with discount coupons. It's the only way I could have afforded to do it. |
