Do you feel that Davison's latest audios are starting to challenge the general assessment of Colin Baker as the best "audio Doctor"?

"I think of myself as ambitious in casting terms, and I know that Bonnie [Langford] has the potential to make the part totally unirritating . . ." JNT, 1986

    I haven't heard enough of them. I like C. Baker's audios a lot. I've only heardc a couple P. Davison's.

But I am interested in "The Gathering" because of Tegan's return.

Just listened to "The Gathering", and it's not bad.

    Spoilers, but not bad ones:

But I hated to hear yet again the "Sarah Jane Lament" by Tegan.

I'm not sure I would have taken Tegen in the direction they took her here, and I'm not terribly happy with the way they tied it to "The Reaping".

So yet again we have another alternative way the Cybermen could have come about if not for the Doctor.

One cute bit, when on the TV they were going through some birthdays, and they mentioned something about "Happy birthday to Pop star turned Actress Billie..." and then cut off before they could say "Piper".

One solid hope is worth a cartload of uncertainties.

From what I've read, "The Gathering" is set in the present day using Tegan as she appears today rather than the Tegan of the 1980's.

I am inclined to agree with sean here.

The Gathering was a huge dissapointment.

Davison seems to be totally lost in this play.

    Forget the shooty dog thing!
