I like you would like to see the DVD's come out more frequently but it's probably not all that easy.

If you want a straight release, then that's fine. They could put a lot of them out like they did on VHS in the 80's-90's, But if you're looking for all the extras, the extended or deleted scenes, commentary from the cast (whom they have to contract with to do these), and the information text; those can't be created overnight.

I for one happen to like the extras. Although I hate it when they put together some inane extra, like the one on "Pyramid of Mars," where someone in a Sutekh mask runs around telling us how he hasn't been able to find a job since that story aired in 1975. THOSE are pointless extras.

I love the funny extras from Pyramid of Mars and The Green Death. Hilarious Laughing Out Loud

They add some variety to the usual people-who-made-the-story- but-can't-remember-anything- about-it interviews.

I'm trying to fill in my missed DW's from this era and just watched Planet of Fire..

Wow, Nicola Bryant was looking good in that one... Especially when Turlough pulled her out of the water and into the TARDIS. Eek! (I just wish they let her speak with a real British accent... She spoke with what sounded like some strange cross between American and British English.)

I was glad to see Turlough go- I never really understood why the Doctor kept him on, always hiding something, pulling out console components when the Doctor wasn't looking, etc.

I guess I had seen this one before, a long time ago, since that shot of the Master in the box looking up at those big faces brought back a wave of memories...

All in all, a good episode. Next up- Androzani!

Did you say "74,384,338 to 1 against"? That's my lucky number!
