    Has anyone listened to all of 100 (Big Finish special w/Coli Views: 1047

    This is a spoiler question strictly for anyone who has already listened to the CDs/downloads.

    Here's the question...

    When the 6th Doctor and Evelyn visit the American Frontier in the 1870s, which Doctor and companions do they come across? I assume it's the 8th Doctor, Charley, and C'rizz..but I'm not certain. There's a mention of two Doctors playing poker, one "posh" female companion, and one "mainstream" female companion. I must admit that's confusing me. I haven't heard all of the 8th doctor stories, so maybe I'm missing something.

    Thanks for any help.

    Here are my thoughts on the topic: {spoiler text} I like to think it is the Fifth Doctor with Nyssa and Teagan, but it could be him with Peri and Erimem, but the former seems more likely to me. {/spoiler text}

    That's what I had initially thought, as well, but {spoiler text} Evelyn saw the 5th Doctor earlier in the story, but didn't recognize this Doctor. Plus, there's the mention of a third "non-humanoid" companion in the mix which I don't remember the 5th Doctor ever having. The 6th Doctor didn't seem to recognize the non-humanoid, so that led me to believe that it must be a later regeneration. So a part of me assumes it to be C'rizz, but the 8th Doctor never had 3 companions as far as I know. Now that I've heard Absolution, I doubt C'rizz will make another appearance in the 8th Doctor's future, so I'm ruling out some nutty "down the road" teaming of the 8th Doctor with Charley, Lucie, and C'rizz. And what's with the "dual" Doctors playing poker together? I'm completely confused. {/spoiler text}

    I get it now... {spoiler text} After listening to that part for the 100th time, I realize that it's the 8th Doctor (with Charley and C'rizz) playing poker with the "later" BBC7 8th Doctor while he's traveling with Lucie Miller Hmmm...I don't know what I think about that. Seems like a wee bit of cheat so you can name check everyone.

    {spoiler text}C'Rizzz is humanoid, but non-human. The only non-humanoid companion from Big Finish is Frobisher! (not counting K-9, of course) {/spoiler text}

    {spoiler text}Removed; see original post{/spoiler text}

    Which, of course, makes the Sixth Doctor's statement entirely curious. In my mind, spoiler Frobisher is quite an early companion of the Sixth Doctor's, contemporaneous with Peri. In other words, BF canonizes DWM comics, insofar as his companionship of the Sixth Doctor is concerned, at least. I would've thought Frobisher predates Evelyn, thus making a lie of the Sixth Doctor's statement here.

    As for whom the companions in question could have been, I think Frobisher is most likely from Evelyn's surprise at its mobility. But I don't think we can rule out Destrii and/or Ssard as the non-humanoid. GIven the fact that parallel worlds are introduced into the mix, there's nothing stopping comics companions from getting a mention.
    Dunno. Just a theory.
