Hello all,
The last time the BBC released 10th Doctor audio books they were released as a mini series of three stories (The Stone Rose, The Resurrection Casket and The Feast of the Drowned) and I covered all three in a single review.
Auntie Beeb has now released another set of three (The art of destruction, The nightmare of Black Island and The price of paradise)
My question is: Were you happy with the format of the last review or would you like to see each story reviewed separately?

Well, I for one would say it depends on what you have to say. They should be as long as they need to be for you to cover the points you wish to raise. If the books don't, in your mind, deserve detailed, separate coverage, then don't give it to 'em. In my limited experience of audio reviewing, I'd say I could easily speak at length on, say, "Tooth and Claw", but can't really muster up even a few paragraphs on "The War Games"—despite the vast difference in the running time (and importance to the overall Doctor Who mythos) of the two stories.
Likewise, there's more to say, IMHO, about Donna Noble than there is about most companions from the classic series. The Eccleston year could inspire me to more conversation than the Colin Baker or McCoy half-decade. There's infinitely more to note about the Eighth Doctor-era of DW comics than anything but the Fourth, Ninth and Tenth Doctors.
Since a review is by its very nature your personal opinion about something, you're really the only one that could or should answer the question you've posed. |

Agreed,
But the question is asking for a preference, nothing more |

Are the stories related - or do they need to be played in sequence?
If not then they could be dealt with seperately.

I don't really mind.
Doing them as a threesome sounds good, but 3 seperate more detailed reviews would be just as welcome, Slartibartfast has just upgraded the planets computers, and we can all now enjoy listening to more podshock, after a slight accident involving a wireless router and a sperm whale. |

I don't believe that they have to be played in any order but they are consecutively numbered as 10, 11 & 12.
A caution:
As far as I am aware these are not read by DT this time |

The current batch of audiobooks are not read by David Tennant. They are read by guest stars from series two: The Art of Destruction (read by Don Warrington), The Nightmare of Black Island (read by Anthony Head), and The Price of Paradise (read by Shaun Dingwall).

If they are read by different actors then I think seperate reviews would be better.
Should image Anthony Head will have done a good job - don't know enough about the others.
