    BBC America Program changes

I found the article interesting as it says BBCA already shows Spooks, when it was A&E that showed the series... did I miss seeing it on BBCA?

That article confirms that there is a US version of Life on Mars... but it doesn't confirm if BBC America will be getting the second series.

I also wonder if BBC America is going to edit Torchwood for content (it may do it for time as well).

    Cheers,
    Louis

I can't imagine the US verison of LoM will be any good :-(.

I'm sure BBCA will edit Torchwood for both content and time (probably not much the latter). They don't drop the F-bomb on BBCA :-).

    Did you mean "Spoons"?

Did you say "74,384,338 to 1 against"? That's my lucky number!

Sorry- answered my own question (actually read the original article- should never stay up all night and post all day ). No "Spooks" or "MI-5" listed on the BBC America schedulebot. I'm an avid watcher of BBCA, and I definitely don't recall "Spooks" (although they are selling the DVDs of "MI-5" on the BBCA shopping site). Neutral

I agree, I don't have much confidence that the US version of LoM... nor do I see the need for a US version... But I always say that.

As for Torchwood being chopped up for BBC America, this is why I would have preferred if the series went to a premium channel in the US instead where it could be shown intact.

    Cheers,
    Louis

That's what I thought. I watched MI-5 on A&E when they showed 'season' one and two. The idiots, however, decided to only show the last 'season' on a one day marathon while I was out of town. Which means that (since I'm not on the TiVo wagon) I had two VCRs set to start at different times to get everything... annoying.... I do wish that BBCA would pick of MI-5 and show that from the start (be a better option than showing the second series of Hex, which they are about to do, which only leaves too many unanswered questions).

During a marathon of Doctor Who Series 1 today on BBC America, they advertised the start date for Torchwood as Saturday, September 8th.

BBCA also advertised the start of Doctor Who Series 2 (Sept) and MI-5 (can't remember... soon, I think).

BBCA has been running a DW S1 Marathon all weekend and dropping in lots and lots of promos for TORCHWOOD, which starts next Saturday, Sept. 8.

My cable provider, Comcast, is already putting some Behind the Scenes stuff "On Demand." Maybe that means Comcast will run Torchwood On Demand once the show begisn, which would be a nice thing to happen. Watch it at my leisure if I miss a Saturday night episode....
