    like watch divx movies.

Unlike the DirecTiVo, I will not hack my AppleTV until it is out of warranty, or at least for a while longer. This is simply because I ordered mine the same week it was announced. It arrived a day or 2 late, which was fine, but with a nasty video artifact problem that made the unit menus unreadable and video unwatchable. So I went to the local Apple Store (thankfully only about 15 miles away at Tyson's Corner, VA) and got a fresh one. This one is working fine, but I am concerned because of the first one not working out of the box, so I want to keep this one under warranty for a while longer.

BTW, the absolute coolest Apple Store Story is when John Hodgman goes into an Apple Store to get his Apple Gear fixed... Smile

And then converting the stuff I get from my Theoretically Outgoing Really Righteous Enigmatic Network Teammates is no less painful.

Ahh... is that what the kids are calling it these days? Wink I like that.

Nah, I just made it up on the fly as code-word for a perfectly legitimate process of transferring files via the Python-developed protocol known as BitTorrent (See Red Hat distribution or Apple Update for Leopard) in reference to the less than legitimate process of using it with respect to the common procurement of a rather popular BBC1 television programme Executive Produced by Julie Gardner and in RTD we trust. Feel free to use it though. It's not the legitimate acronym for BitTorrent, as BitTorrent is not an acronym, but it's a nice Code-phrase for it and what it is generally used for.
