'EDIT - just noticed this story is mentioned as a link to 'OG' down the left-hand panel of this forums front page - I hadn't seen that because I rarely scroll down the page that far.'
The last two threads I've started were already mentioned here on our site in the 'Outpost Gallifrey' panel that appears down the left-hand side of the page.
However - on my screen resolution that is a good 4 'screens' down the page.
Even 'Older Stories' comes highter up than that.
Now of the items mentioned on the OG panel - many will still rate a 'new thread' here - but I wonder if others think that with our closer ties with OG this section should be promoted up the page - assuming that's possible.
Louis? others - any thoughts?

I feel it is in an appropriate position given the content on the left sidebar.
I think that the '5 recent posts" does a disservice to older threads, as many people just look at the latest posts and don't explore the forums. I wonder how many use the "10 recent posts" at the bottom of the home page? |

I moved the Outpost Gallifrey block up... I may have done this prior to Taras' recent post above. But I didn't have a chance to post here in this thread that I had done it. As I did it when I had a free moment at work.

That can be moved to the top... after the feature story. I was contemplating doing that, but it would make the side bar block redundant... The side bar block although only limited to 5, it gives a bit more info such as who posted the message.

Well I think - Well Done Louis - OG works better higher up - certainly higher up than 'Older Stories'
