Here is a link to a free You Tube Downloader program if you want to save Dr Who clips to your PC.
Found out about this on another Forum.
This is Windows not Mac.
here
I downloaded the program and on installing it theres a 'tick box' to install 'the Dealio Comparison Shopping Toolbar' - SO UNTICK this brfore proceeding.
To try it I downloaded my UpClose YouTube video.

Yes, I found a Firefox plug in a while ago that would allow saving in FLV format but the one Dave found appears to convert it to AVI or MPEG format. I think it's an improvement. |

Converting from one encoding to another is the equivalent of losing a generation in analogue video tape duplication. Not really better, but possibly more convinient for some. |

You can download a free FLV player (such as Riva) that will save files into MP3 or AVI format, but yes, Dave's looks easier. |

Did you say "74,384,338 to 1 against"? That's my lucky number!

I've been using PodTube 2.1 on the Mac to get iPod playable copies for some time now.

I just became aware of another solution for Mac users. As I said above, I had been using PodTube, but just recently I saw a review of a freeware application called TubeTV which has similar functionality to PodTube. I haven't used TubeTV yet, so I can't comment which is better at this time. TubeTV does seem interesting though and I will probably give it a shot.
