Opinions Wanted: Selling my DWAs Views: 963

I'm thinking about eBaying my complete collection of Doctor Who Adventures magazines. I have all the issues from 1-35 except 32 which I missed. All are in original packaging except the first couple, and all "free gifts" are there.

I searched eBay and didn't see any up, except someone selling a lot of them without the gifts.

So, my question is, do you think selling them one at a time or in lots of 3 or four would be better?

Postage/shipping costs for magazines and books can be a problem.

My guess would be sell as a job lot, but then it becomes quite heavy, which bumps up postage and discourages bids.

For all it's worth, my personal take is that books and magazines about Dr Who don't do that well on Ebay. There are always exceptions and rarities (early DWM complete Doctor specials, early annuals etc), but unless you actually didnt want them anymore, it's probably not worth it. Alternatively do a Buy It Now for a fair price you're happy with; then if it sells it sells, if it doesnt you're not giving it away.

I'm no different to a lot of us, I've got piles of Dr Who stuff going back years. I havent got the space for the things I've got. I've been Ebaying for quite a while, but I stopped selling Who magazines a couple of years ago because most of the time they went for nothing or next to nothing. In the end I ended up giving away a box of stuff (magazines) to a friend who does charity work for pets, as she felt she could sell them for about 1/2 each in a shop. That's no more than I'd have got if I'd sold them (and then you've got Ebay charges and the aggro of posting everything). If I'd thought they'd have sold well I'd have listed them, but experience had taught me it just wasnt worth it.

Whenever I look at Doctor Who magazines or books on e-Bay, the only ones that seem to get bids are those sold in lots...unless it is an extraordinarily rare publication. So selling those as a lot would probably be your best bet.
