Wasn't sure whether to put this in the Who Collectables or SJA section; if you think it would be better over there Taras then feel free to shift it.
Deluxe figure set due November 07 -
This series has been so good and (it seems) such a hit I did wonder if they'd cash in on it and make some figures. I'm not sure that's the best likeness to SJ I've ever seen, but I'm glad it's on it's way. |

Is this a Character set, or some other manufacturer?
Taras
P.S. Here is probably the best place for all collectables, unless the spin-off take a huge life of their own, |

Those are the knee joints, similar to all the other humanoid figures in the range, excluding the first versions of Rose and the 9th Doctor... |

Has anyone in the UK actually seen this anywhere yet? Apart from the odd one on Ebay.
So far, I've not come across it. |

I picked one of these up yesterday.
The Sarah Jane figure isn't bad. The likeness is far from total, but I like it nonetheless (and it's nice to have an action figure of the woman who was the subject of my first ever crush). Tin Dog's observation about her stockings isn't unjustified (not sure where that fits in with my subject of my aforementioned first crush - I'll take the view that I wouldnt have noticed such things as a 5 year old). She comes with an alien communicator that is the smallest, most losable accessory in the history of toys.
The Star Poet figure is rubbish. If anyone buys toys and figures, two things that never ever work are lightning and fire. You can now add gaseous aliens to that list. It's ugly, it doesnt light up particularly well. I can't find good thing to say about it. |

Released end of March......
Sarah Jane & General Kudlak

Based on the above I think this Sarah Jane looks better than either of the 2 existing Character figures....
edit -
Also
SJ & The Graske......

SJ and Slitheen Boy

I don't think Sarah Jane is about to replace 10th Doctor as most duplicated/variant figure in the Character universe; but looks like she'll be number 2! |

I Picked these up yesterday. Quite frankly, the Sarah-Jane figures have a very poor likeness (the pictures posted above have a much better resemblance to SJ than the actual figures do!). The rest of them are excellent.
I think ultimately that these will be available to pick up for bargain prices. The Star Poet got down to £1.99 in Tesco (and they had piles of them), so unless you're a rabid fan-boy collector like me, and you have to have all of Character's Who/Who spin-off figures immediately, you might wanna wait a few months. |
