So has anyone looked at or bought these at all? They're in most Argos' & Woolworths now and a few other UK sci-fi retailers.
I can only speak personally, but I found them to be a disappointment.
They're billed as "highly detailed" 35mm figures. 35mm clearly isn't much and so intricate details are out of the question, but these just weren't good enough to make me want them. Some of them were alright, but some of them were just poor.
In some ways I was glad I didnt like them; the suck and it see approach (basically you buy a pack of 7, but only know in advance what 3 of them are) annoys me. It's the sort of thing I'd expect from Lucas Inc.
Re the quality - I kind of wondered if I was being a bit harsh and so yesterday, when out and about, without leading or offering opinion in anyway, I asked my girlfriend what she thought; she also said they weren't good. I'd been curious to get her thoughts on them for a while as she herself is a good painter (and works in the creative/art world). I thought she might take a very objective view, saying the size creates limitations/difficulties, but she very quickly dismissed them as simply unimpressive.
Also on the "deluxe" figures, the scale mis-match is nothing short of stupid. The Tardis towered over the accompanying Doctor figure. It must have been two and a half times the height. There is a disclaimer on the back that says "figures not neccesarily to scale" - but I can't see the point of such glaring discrepancies in the same range of toys.
I'll be sticking to Character's main range.

Beyond the aesthetics, how does this work as a game? Does it make up for the poor execution of the figures, or is this just a money grab?

Truthfully; I've no idea!
I was only really interested in the possibility of interesting collectables. Maybe the game itself is a lot of fun (although even if it was, I'm not sure who I'd play with!)
Maybe you can give it a whirl at DWNY! |

This is the first I've heard of these. Don't know if these'll even make it here to the States. |

| I've never heard of them either but here they are on Amazon.co.uk. I might pop to Woolworths tomorrow and have a look! |

P.S. It is of course possible that this message is a trap. If it is I can deal with it. P.P.S. I'm leaving this note in case I can't!
