Hey you guys!
Well, I've never been all that good at sales but I'm unemployed right now (poor me, right?) and been trying to get my fingers into as many pies as possible, and well one of those pies is a oh so lucrative (ok, not lucrative at all!) cafepress shop!
http://www.cafepress.com/blackpepper
It's all very obscure, cute, friendly sort of weird little things & animal designs. Unfortunately Doctor Who stuff is copywrited so there's no Doctor Who gear - however, you can rest assured that each image was lovelingly handcrafted by a loyal Doctor Who fan! The items themselves are probably handcrafted by somebody in a warehouse who doesn't care that much. But I'm telling you, as I sat there drawing the designs in adobe illustrator, my desktop had a doctor who wallpaper. I am a fan through and through.
Woo hoo, people!!! It's the only place on the web you can get Voynich Manuscript merchandise, Bus Drivers in Love ornaments AND romantic octopus greeting cards.
Thanks for listening!!

That's all well and good, but can you help me recapture that orange balloon feeling?

awww bless, you read my descriptions!
I was thinking about La Ballon Rouge - not quite orange balloon feeling, mind you, but I certainly have fond memories of watching that film about the balloon floating around Paris as a school kid.
Oh wait, you don't have to pull out the projector and stuff - it's on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGgX212Pn7A&feature=related
oh dear now I'm getting all nostalgic. |

Shazam! You have tossed me through the worm hole back into my childhood. I know exactly what you're talking about, that balloon and kid film, without even having to go to you tube. In fact, I fear watching the actual film lest it spoil my vague recollections.
Dang! These things that exist deep in the recesses of my memory...

I remember seeing this on Picture Box when I was a primary school. I seemed to remember that I always felt it was a bit spooky, especially when the balloon got burst and wrinkled.
I also thought that the boy was a bit heartless as his upset over the "death" of the balloon was forgotten in about 0.01 seconds when the other balloons turned up. |
