[Quote by: cybercolin] Hey Louis, Any chance you could pass your Emperors Club invites on, seeing as you don't want them? |

LOL... you are welcome to it. They are following me, not visa versa. From their Twitter page I see they are following a great deal more people than are following them. So it is probably just a ploy to get more people to follow them by following as many people as they can in hopes they will follow them back.

Soon... it has just entered the post-production phase.
Perhaps by the end of the week (open to interpretation depending what you consider the end of the week of course).

So! I was just at the jumpcon website, trying to figure out what to buy for BOSTON! I'm now going to be there for business (and since the Iowa date is no longer on the website) I thought I should go.
But I just don't get the ticket thingy. What's the difference between the Doctor Who picture event and just buying the Sylvester McCoy / Colin Baker individual ticket events? Or how do I determine who is going to be at the Stargate Picture event? I cannot seem to find the answer on the website.
Can someone walk me through it like I'm an idiot? Pretty Please? (full disclosure: this would be my FIRST convention - and I'm completely at sea on what to do!!!) |

I'm in the same boat. DO you pay to go to panels where you can see people you are interested speak or is it all just purchase tickets for photos, meals, etc. I didn't even know about the individual even tickets. If everything is a la carte do we need to buy some sort of general admission to just get in and then your specific a la carte menu stuff. Help! I looked on the website and forum and couldn't really find a answer either. Perhaps a podcast on this would be great for people wanting to go who are just a wee bit confused |

| Romana, you can listen to Jump The Pod on the JumpCon website. There's a button for "podcast". |

Ken, can I request that you sing 'Jump The Pod' on next week's podshock? That's all I download Jump The Pod for, to be honest! |
|
Please check out my blog, as I attempt to watch and review EVERY Doctor Who episode! http://journeythroughtimeandspace.blogspot.com/

The Ballad of Jump The Pod
(with the music from the first 5 minutes of Fellowship Of The Rings in the background)
This is the story of a hobbit.
Frodo Trappani had grown restless with his life in Hobbiton, a village in Longislandshire.
Then his old friend Emperor Gandalf (EG) came along with a quest.
The mystical "Pod" had been uncovered.
When protected by an innocent, the Pod brought peace and goodwill.
But it was forged in the heart of Mount Gloom by the evil Lord Sauroff, and it wished to return to its Master - Eric Roberts.
EG needed Frodo to carry the pod to groups of people through Middle Earth every weekend, spreading peace and love, until the day its evil nature would drive Frodo to insanity and the need arose to destroy it in the fires of Mount Gloom.
With the aid of his faithful friend Kenwise Deepgee, Frodo Trappani sets off on his quest.
As they journey onward, the Hobbits are stalked by a Being driven mad by the pod - Gollum Naughton.
Gollum's plaintative night cry - "Oh My!!! My Preccccious Pod!!!"
Can Frodo and Kenwise use the Pod for good instead of evil? What will happen to the Emperor? And how did Gollum obtain his posh accent? Tune in each week for the next edition ... of Jump The Pod. |

Time will tell. It always does, except when it has Laryngitis.

Misery does love company.
Are you planning/hoping to attend Boston or a different site? I may not have my tickets figured out yet, but I've got a hotel room and flight all arranged (and if all else fails and I cannot make a decision, I can always take a cab to Southie and get drunk in an Irish bar). |

I dont know about JUMPCON but all of the other cons ive been to the talks are free. ie covered by the entry fee. they are usually in halls or large rooms.
The only aditional charges made are for any extras such as buying the photos that the guests have brought with them and geting them signed. u
Also you usualy pay to have a profesional photo of you with a guest. As they are printed on site and often (but not always) signed thats usually worth it. LOOK AFTER how much you spend on these!
Some cons will only allow you to get one autograph (When I met "Angel" it was like that) and others are much more relaxed. (Dimentions of Tyne - Who Con)
Oh and food too.
hope that answe |
