Now we find the Doctor's daughter is going to be in the next episode, is she going to be Susan's mother? I suppose she must be, unless the Doctor has more children somewhere.
So, this could mean a possible return of Susan at some point (or at least a reference or two I hope).
A few points I am not clear on:
I don't think it was ever confirmed whether Susan was a Time Lord or not (not all Gallifreyans are Time Lords I hear). Was it? Her mother may or may not have been. I suppose we'll find out soon.
What was Susan's last known location?
Has the Doctor ever hinted at a wife or lover in his past? It's just, we may find them turning up at some point now.
If Susan turns up, will she at least recognise Bernard from the Dalek Invasion of Earth? |

Possible spoilers in white!
What I know from plot descriptions is the titular character created from The Doctor's DNA but not in the usual way. Possibly someone extracted it from his severed hand. Master? Prof. Lazarus? Or someone else we haven't seen yet.
She will be played by Georgia Moffet daughter of Peter Moffet aka Peter Davison. So the title is a play on words. She's a daughter in mnore ways that one!
What of Susan? Canonically ie televised she remained on 22nd centurty with David Campbell then followed by her appearance in The Five Doctors.
Non canonically ie books various spin off media she had aquired a TARDIS of her own and travelled in time and space.
Then joined the fight against the Daleks in The Last Great Time War and perished with the remaining Time Lords etc.

When you get down to it, the only proof that the Doctor ever had children was in the episode "Fear Her" (iirc) where he said he was a father once.
Beyond that, afaik we really don't even have proof from the old show that Susan was his biological daughter. You just hope it's the case because otherwise it'd be kinda freaky to have a teenage girl traveling with an old man. |

Actually the Doctor has stated or confirmed that he has been a Father & Grandfater on more than one occasion in the new series. In the Empty Child/The Doctor Dances Doctor Constintine says that he was a father and grandfather but now is just a Doctor and Eccelston confirms that he is the same. And that brings us to the point that Susan was his Grandaughter not his daughter. |

Short answer - No
Long Answer - No she won't!
I don't think the writers would put a episode that means so much in the middle of the series, and quite frankly all this speculation is getting on my wick! |

All this speculation will have everyone assuming it's going to be a certain way and when that doesn't happen they feel let down.
Just might MIGHT be a case of genetic modific/manipulation.

| What exactly did the Doctor say? 'She's my daughter, sort of'? What's with that last bit added? Sort of? Maybe she's an adopted human or as has been said, some genetic manipulation. |

I said ages back (after the cliff-hangers at the end of season 3) that what would have made a superb ending to a series would have been the Doctor and assistant getting back into the TARDIS and discovering someone fiddling with the central console. When the Doctor asks who it is, the person turns around to face him and we see it's Carole-Ann Ford saying "Hello Grandfather" ....roll-end credits with teaser text for the Christmas special.
....of course, with this episode, I guess that's my wish out of the window |
