It is being reported that Big Finish's Companion Chronicles will go monthly starting in July.
For more details see More Companion Chronicles or the Big Finish website. |

How are the Companion Chronicles? Are they more like standard audio books? Or do they have full casts, with "linking narration" for lack of a better term done by the companion?

They are more like a standard audiobook with the actor portraying the companion performing the narration, but often with a guest actor portraying the antagonist. |

| The ones that i've heard so far are pretty good. But this will put a strain on more Doctor Who fans wallets, what with the monthly releases of Doctor Who, this, The Eighth Doctor Adventures, these new stage play adpatations and Benny (and that's just the Doctor Who realted stuff!). Bad move by Nick Briggs Productions, i'm afraid. They should have kept the 6 releases a year scheme. |

| Back before Podshock went "live" they used to have someone record reviews of the Big Finish stuff (was that you Colin?). Are they still being done and podcast through some other feed? I always looked forward to those. |

Do you mean me? (I do get confused/thick sometimes!), if so then no, it wasn't me. I do review the majorty of the big finish stuff on my blog, however but I never mention it . Although I would be happy to post reviews/advertisments on here. Just as long as A] I'm allowed to and B] Nick Briggs allows me to pen the Kandyman spin-off series i'm dying to do! |

I think there were audio reviews by a Colin. I wasn't sure if it was you or a different Colin. |

Abersoch (Colin B.) did a few Big Finish reviews, as did DarthSkeptical and yours truly in the past. |

| I especially liked Mother Russia. Any story which showthe Doctor and his companions settling down in one place for a while I always find particulary interesting and logical - for a man to know as much as he does about everything, he can't have spent all of his lives just passing through! |

On a whim, I was looking at what other Companion Chronicles are coming out and I saw this one. I may have to buy it, because I loved these characters.
The Companion Chronicles - The Mahogany Murderers
A new adventure in time and space as told by the Doctor's friends, Henry Gordon Jago and Professor Litefoot.
As I'm sure everyone knows, Jago and Litefoot are the two characters from The Talons of Weng-Chiang. |
