Doctor Mark II's Journal: A story [Spoilers for S4x13] Views: 705
     Tuesday, July 15 2008 @ 03:10 PM EDT
    Hello All,

I'm posting to recommend it a good daily read as a story played out in a journal from 'Ten' Mark II's P.O.V. It is wittily and sensitively written, with great talent behind it. And I'm enjoying it immensely, as are a lot of people on LJ.

Story so far: (Contains Spoilers for S4x13)

Ten Mark II is adjusting to life with both feet on the ground. He and Rose are obviously working through some 'issues', most of which revolve around his adventurous spirit (attempting to build boat/flying machine/sonic out of essentially sticks, spit and string) and the fact that life as a hum-drum human sometimes require adventure to be put on hold in order to feed ducks, and for psychiatric reviews to take place.

About himself: "Born out of war and blood and other nasty things (like an alien hand in a jar) I came into being. After committing genocide, the Doctor, from whom I was created, deemed me too dangerous to travel with him in his Tardis. He left me in this Alternate Reality, where I would be safe, under the watchful eye of Rose Tyler."

Meanwhile, in Chiswick, and concerned she should 'get out more' it runs out a Different Donna is embarking on the world of Online Dating and internet blogging.

    Different Donna's Blog

An excerpt Mark II's First Day at Torchwood.
    (reproduced with permission)

"My first day was very educational.

    I learned:

    1. Finishing, and not replacing, a carton of milk in the staff room will lead to arguments.
    2. The way to work efficiently in a team, is not to call other members "Pea Brained Apes" when they can not grasp a concept.
    3. Stationary cupboards aren't just for Office Supplies (wink wink)
    4. It is possible to change an establishment from the inside. (Go Weevils, be free!)
    5. Donna has an online dating account. (Should I perhaps email her?)
    6. Psychologists are obsessed with childhood experiences.
    7. Being called to Rose's Office is not always a bad thing. (wink wink)
    8. The biscuits in the staff room are for everyone.
    9. Aiming a hair dryer at a colleague to prove a point (it is NOT an alien gun) is unacceptable behavior and will result in being arrested by the Security Team.
    10. The Security Office is very easy to escape from. (The air vent leads to the roof)
    11. Falling off the roof is very painful and will likely result in further stitches.
    12. Peter Tyler is a much scarier boss than Rose Tyler, and means business.

I have been suspended until my psychoanalysis report returns."

I really hope you guys enjoy.

(I'm not sure what the protocol for pimping fanfic/LJ etc is here. But too many people are raving about this not to mention it here - hope no one minds Big Grin )
