Not sure what the rules are for requests, but I would love to hear a review of Whomix (http://whomix.trilete.net) on Podshock. I am a member of their forum and and comment reguarly on the wonderful remixes of the Doctor Who themes. There are some really gifted amateur mixers and the remixes are a wonderful trip down memory lane.
I would like to go one step further and suggest a Mix of the Month segment on Podshock but I'm unsure about copyright issues with the BBC and don't want to be pushy, but it would be cool! |

I know we had mentioned it a few times over the course of our podcasts, but I don't think we ever formally reviewed it (or for that matter any other web site and/or podcast).
I subscribe. I love to hear all the different interpretations of Doctor Who music out there. Though with everyone and their uncle (and aunt) doing their take of the signature theme, I like the few that break away from it and explore other Doctor Who musical inspirations such as Anthony Perry's Siesta in Seville which was inspired by The Two Doctors story.
In a few weeks, the 2006 series will come to a close and we will be reviewing more Doctor Who related items... so perhaps we will talk more about Whomix again.
Cheers,
Louis |

Thanks for the quick reply, Louis. I love "Siesta in Seville." My other favourites are:
"We're Not In Kyoto Anymore"
"Who Rocks The Party That Rocks The Tardis"
"For a Darkened People"
"A Modern Classic"
"Determined Who Too"
"The Doctor's Dream"
There is also a great disco mix that I can't remember the name of. |

I just listened to the Whocast podcast for the first time and they played one of the Whomix songs and plugged the website. I just went there and saw they have a torrent for all their stuff, so I'm downloading it as we "speak". As far as remix Doctor Who goes, I still love Doctor Who On Holiday off the Dean Gray - American Edit "album".

Sadly Americanedit.net got shut down, but not before I managed to download the whole thing. I love Whomix and have their feed in my podcatcher. I've even taken a couple remixes and set music videos to them.

I was just there like a day ago. That sucks. I have the music already, but I was slowly working my way through the articles and stuff. They were a great way to find other sites with good "mash-up" music on it. What a pisser.

Ahh...my mistake. When I used the quote button I forgot it added an http:// already and when I pasted the URL I included another http://. I fixed my earlier post. It should work now. |

| Actually, I think the website is there, but the music is not. |

I liked what I heard of this stuff on the last "Whocast" for "Love & Monsters." Very cool. |
