It is now been a little over a week since our site has been back up and running again since we had to migrate to a new hosting server. Once again, I want to thank everyone for their patience during that time of transition. Obviously we would had liked it if it was a seamless one, but we were forced into the situation at the time.
The site should be back to where it was before all that happened, in fact, there has been some improvements made on top of that.
We recently added the new Torchwood sections to the site. There also has been some behind the scenes optimization and improvements as well.
I had hoped that this weekend would be the one that I would be able to perform some upgrades and updates for certain parts of our site. Hopefully, that can be done in the near future, though it would those elements of the site would be temporally down while the updates/upgrades are being performed.
Cheers,
Louis

Louis, thank you for all your hard work. I really appreciate you giving us such a great place to talk about Doctor Who and the great podcast. Going without the site for a week made me appreciate it all the more, and you do a great job running it. I also really appreciate the civility of the members here.
Everyone gather in for a group hug.

Thanks.. Generally I feel if you treat others with respect, they will return the favour. I have to give kudos to all the active users on our site for their civility and maintaining decorum here on our site. As many have probably noticed, there are not a whole lot of rules and hoops you have to jump through here. I believe most of us know how to act just from our own common sense. It goes way back to the formation of the Gallifreyan Embassy... err... now 21 years ago (I still can't believe it has been so long ago)... we never got bogged down with endless meetings on rules of order, bylaws, leadership structure, etc.. I am not saying these things are unimportant, but I just seen various other clubs and organizations loose themselves in it, and the participants forget why they got together in the first place.
I feel privileged having such great participants here on the site. I am very grateful for the online community we have created here. It does indeed seem like family here.
OK, group hug time again!
Thank you all.
Cheers,

Bummer, and here I was hoping for a nice flame war! LOL, j/k
Speaking of bigger and better, is it more or is the quote feature not working properly? Maybe I'm just doing it wrong. |

Yeah, I had to fix some of your messages because of problems with your quote tags. There needs to be two quote tags, an open and closing tag (the closing one has the "/" before it). If it is missing one or has an extra, your message may not show at all until it is corrected.
So be careful when editing the quoted text and pay special attention to the quote tags there.

| Actually, I have tried that. I've even tried to manually add the 'quote' formatting but for some reason it's not working for me. Also, I have another glitch but it's probably off-topic in this thread. Can we send PM's to each other so I can address the issue? |

Wow... That is funny (not ha ha funny), I was just looking into software for this purpose yesterday. If there is interest, perhaps it is worth adding. I haven't added something like that yet because I first want to bring other pieces of the site up to date before adding more software to plug-in into the site. Since we now have over 500 registered users to the site, it may be worth while having PM functionality.
Cheers,

| Yea, me also. But I may be changing it because it squishes me all up. I have a few other avatars to choose from, but I felt this was the most appropriate. |
