Just curious if you've ever had or ever considered in the future adding a few more themes?

I believe the following is a great place to download and install themes that are compatible with the software here:

Thanks, I enjoy change as much as a Timelord.

The trouble with themes is maintaining them. Each theme needs to be customized... and when upgrading the site's software (Geeklog), it sometimes requires updating all the themes (and their multitude of files) as well. Another factor is troubleshooting. Since the themes could effect functionality... if someone encounters a problem on the site, finding out if it is the theme causing the issue, and which theme it could be, which files in that theme are responsible, etc... it can get a bit dizzying. Since my time is so limited, I had to keep things as simple as possible. We went from offering two themes here, down to one, and then back to two again.

With that said, I am not opposed to offering more themes here, but it would have be something really worthwhile... and it would need to complement and is consistent with Doctor Who in some way.

The Smooth Blue theme which we use as a default theme here, sort of complements the exterior TARDIS style... which is consistent throughout the entire series. The whole blue box thing.

The Professional also offered here, is mostly for compatibility and troubleshooting. That is we are assured that this theme will be compatible with the latest versions of the site's software. So if there is a problem, I can switch over to this theme to see if the problem still exists or not, and thus I can eliminate whether or not it is a theme issue.

I will check out what themes site offers to see if they offer any I haven't seen so far, but just looking now, it seems like it may be the same stuff... but let me look further.

Thanks for the reply and the insite. I, of course, don't mean to make problems for you. I just like change. Smile
