Seal of Rassilon (And podshock store) Views: 1016
     Saturday, December 24 2005 @ 08:41 AM EST
I thought I'd throw this out there, in the hopes of seeing more with the seal of Rassilon appear in the Podshock store...
I don't know if the first time I saw the seal of Rassilon was when I saw Revenge of the Cybermen (clearly in a far different context than we've come to accept it) or when I bought a set of 18 DW bookmarks for $4! I think the latter though. Anyway, card 16, I think, was Gallifrey and on it was that beautiful symbol. I think I was in 8th grade at the time (85 or 86sih?) and Cheerio's breakfast cereal had this offer: send in a picture and we'll make a stamp of it. My sister sent in her face, but I sent in the seal. What a fantastic job they did too. The stamp itself was encased in a plastic that was both convenient to carry because it closed, but was also a happy color! So I started using it, and always had it on me. Then, while working in Pathmark a few years later, the accursed thing was stolen! Don't know how or why as I never could find other Who fans, and really, I couldn't see a Who fan stealing anyway! Years more go by before I find another rather dinkily made stamp (rubber on a block of wood) but I am happy to replace it!
So that became my symbol. I loved the look of it, and since I was not making money, I never felt I was infringing upon anything. Eventually, I found a hat with it too. Black, with that symbol, but nothing else. Cryptic, but bloody good looking!
So when I stumbled upon Podshocks store of everything "Seal of Rassilon" based... I made a few purchases. Hey, it's both for a good cause (supporting Podshock) and it's also for a good cause (making me happy with what I wear!)
Now, I lost the bid on e-bay sometime ago when someone was selling those keyrings in a variety of colors (weeping!) but I am pleased to see so many items out there with the seal and want to see more items. Any ideas out there?
I hope to hear some... OH! I did find a really nice gold keychain that was not the same as the ones I missed on e-bay, but eventually the seal part slipped right off, leaving me with a flat gold disk upon which my keys were afixed! I still have the Seal part, but it ended up being little more than a plastic disc glued onto the gold backing!! Depressing. Anyway, I digress sometimes...

So any ideas would be great. Clearly for me a keychain would be nice! I guess we can all pitch in some ideas of our own!?

Thanks for listening... or looking as it were!
    Rassilon

PS - I am really disappointed with the treatment Rassilon got at the hands of Big Finish... I thought he'd make a much better enemy than any other one of the Doctor's foes, but instead he got the worst defeat in history...
