Waterstones (UK Bookshop) currently have a 3 for 2 offer, which includes Big Finish audios. Having heard the freebees given away with DWM, I thought I'd take advantage. One of the one's I got was Zagreus. I eventually got into the plot, and understood what was happening by the end (sort of), but how it started still has me baffled.
Can anyone fill me in on what happened in the story prior to Zagreus? |

Your best bet might be to read the summary and reviews at Outpost Gallifrey. Here is the link to their page for Neverland. At the end, the 8th Doctor gets infused with "anti-time" and that leads into the very odd Zagreus story.

I had a hard time getting into Zagreus at first, too. But I eventually warmed up to it.

Thanks for the info, glad to see I wasn't alone. The links were really useful, so much so, I think I'll listen to Zagreus again. Got a three hour car journey on Monday morning, so it'll fit in nicely(ish).
I loved Charley's line in the last disk, "idiot and idiot, meet superego". |

Well, if you have the three hour drive, you should also try tracking down a copy of Neverland, too. Listen to them back-to-back.

I have not read the link but I can tell you the start of Zagreus was in Episode 16 - Storm Warning.
In saving Charlie Pollard from a death on the airship the Doctor altered the course of time because that was "her time" to die. The effects were continued in various stories as a lead in to Neverland and Zargreus. |
