Web of Fear Recon Views: 2361

So, I'm working my way though the entire series.....slow going since I can usually only watch one or two episodes per weekend. ANYWAY, I know most of the Troughton's are lost, but watching the recons really works for me. However Loose Cannon does not have a recon for THE WEB OF FEAR, and from my research the other recon groups have shut their doors, so I can not find a copy of this episode. Anybody know where I could get my hands on one, or am I in audiobook only land for this one?

    thanks for the help!

Short answer: no recons currently exist.

However, Joint Venture Productions, a forerunner of sorts to Loose Cannon, did a recon years ago. Not currently available, but maybe you could find one by posting over at Outpost Gallifrey.

That said, the audio recon is decent, and the BBC have a good, ordered telesnap archive. Maybe you could make one up on your own, if you don't mind the Frazer Hines narration.

    Thanks DarthSkeptical,

I was starting to wonder if anybody was gonna answer, I know I don't post much but that's not reason to be rude. JUST KIDDING!!!

In all seriousness, I'll go check out Outpost Galifrey, I didn't think of that. I have heard that the Joint Venture recon exists, just can't find it YET Exclaimation I was gonna go w/ the audio book along with the BBC site photonovel if I can't find a recon. I've got time to find it, I just finished "The Daleks Master Plan" yesterday but I like to plan ahead. Anyway thanks for the help!!

By the way, I loved your review of "The Space Museum".

Thanks Smile I'm glad you enjoyed Smile

    But back to topic . . .

I myself have never seen the reconstruction. But I've long been curious about it. It's gotten rave reviews, but as one of the very earliest recons, the praise might be somewhat uninformed. I dunno.

If anyone has it, I'd love a copy, too.

I think its prequel, "The Abominable Snowman", is probably my favorite Troughton story.

Well several months later, I have SEEN the recon. I've had it for awhile just fell behind in my viewing. I can say it wasn't too bad, loved the story, and the into of Lethbridge-Stewart was a nice suprise (I was under the impression he did not appear until the Invasion). The recon though was lacking, there were long periods of action where I really had no idea what was going on. If anybody wants to work out getting a copy let me know!
