I was just watching my DVD of City of Death, and during the scene where Scaroth links with his previous selves one of them appears to be Jesus. Do you think that's what they were going for? Have there been any other references to Jesus on the show, it being a show about time travel and all?
Secondly, I really liked the character of Duggan and think he would have been an interesting companion. I wonder if that was ever considered. |

| I remember watching this episode for the very first time. That was way before the internet, and before I was linked with any other fans. I thought it was a given that Duggan was going to be a companion. I was totally shocked at the end when he wasn't. I agree, it still baffles me today. |

| I don't recall any mention of Jesus on Doctor Who. |

I just watched this episode today (rental from Netflix). The second time through I watched the trivia subtitles while listening to the commentary track - talk about multitasking! I think I remember somebody on the commentary saying that long-haired version of Scaroth was supposed to be a Neanderthal. (Recall the references to fire and making the first wheel, earlier in the ep.) I didn't think he looked all that cave-man-like myself, and yes, he did look more Jesus-like to me come to think of it. I don't think that was the intent, though.

Jesus as a timelord......
makes sense if you think about it! |

He is Lord of at least that, yes.
I never really thought about Duggan being a companion... That adds a bit of melancholy to that story now- he would have been great. Actor Michael Chadbon shows up in some BF audios, at least, like No More Lies |

| Chadbon was also a recurring character, "Will", during the second series of Sarah Jane audio adventures. |

That was him? Very cool- sad, though.
On a side-track, I was very glad to hear that Harry is alive and well, according to the Brig in the Unit stories. |

I just picked up this DVD and there is a major error on it. I'm going to have to return it because disk (1) is the exact same as disk (2). Both have the special features, but none have the episode. Really irritates me as this was one of my favourite episodes.
Has this happened to anyone else? |

I don't have the DVD yet, but did you get two Disc 2's? Or did you apparently get 1 of each, but Disc 1 has the same content as 2? |

They are each listed as Disk 1 and Disk 2 accordingly. Yet each disk has the exact same content on them.
Because they are each listed with a different disk number I was starting to think I had gone insane for a brief time. LOL |
