Historical Dalek from Doctor Who sold at auction for £36,000 (that's about $64,000 US at the current exchange rate) at Bonhams in London with the proceeds going to The Great Ormond Street Hospital.
While today it sports the blue, silver, and black colours, it didn't always... because this Dalek has had a history with Doctor Who that goes back for more than a quarter of a century. After being blown up in Destiny of the Daleks, it had to be repaired although scorch marks are still visible on it today from the incident. It joined the waxworks figure of Tom Baker in the Madame Tussaud's exhibit in 1980. For the 20th anniversary, it was used as the Dalek Supreme featured on the Radio Times cover in 1983. The following year, it was re-painted black and white for Resurrection of the Daleks and then made it's final role in the series with Revelation of the Daleks in 1985.
Today, it has been restored to it's Madame Tussaud's appearance and was sold in a private sale for more than three times for what it was estimated for and will be placed in the reception area of the Bucks-based communication agency Indeprod which purchased the Dalek.

In the latest podcast, the guys mention a fan-done DVD-style commentary. Well, I figured this was a great segeway for this story.
My good friend Sarah and I have recorded some DVD-style commentaries for a couple of episodes of the new series as well as two complete classic series stories! And there's more to come in the future (time permitting!)
You can find the commentaries at: Two Isane Fans--The Waldorf and Statler of Dr Who Commentaries.
So far, we've done commentaries for:
Classic Series
Tomb of the Cybermen, 1-4
Logopolis, 1-4
New Series
Rose
Dalek
Father's Day
Empty Child
Doctor Dances
Bad Wolf
Parting of the Ways
And coming soon...Ghost Light!
Also, I just want to add that in one of our classic commentaries, we invite the Podshock creators to join us for a commentary or two. I then realized--hey, we've never announced ourselves to them, so odds of them hearing about it and responding are slim to none. So, here I am again, publically inviting the guys to join us for some commentary.
Enjoy!

You may be interested in a little animation I've found at www.viz.co.uk . Check the games or downloads. and look for Dr. Poo.
Very funny BUT GROWN UPS ONLY as it is rude.
Viz is an english comic book in th the tradition of Beano and Dandy but is designed and aimed at an adult audience and an adult sense of humour.
ENJOY

The British tabloids are reporting that Billie Piper is "putting herself in the frame to become the next Bond girl."
If cast, she would be appearing along side of the new Bond actor, Daniel Craig in the next 007 film, Casino Royale set for production.

We are so sorry for the long delay... Doctor Who: Podshock - Episode 11 is almost ready and will be released soon (within the next day or so).
In fact, you will probably get two episodes worth of Podshock in Episode 11 as it is probably going to be broken up into two parts and released together as episode 11 and 11.5
