It is being reported that the former husband of Billie Piper (Rose Tyler), Chris Evans is being urged to make a guest appearance in the next series by Doctor Who producers.
Evans, a radio DJ would be slated to play the Devil in an episode titled, "The Satan Pit" according to reports.
As stated by unnamed sources to the Daily Star, "We've already got some great celebrities lined up for the next series, but having Chris Evans would be the icing on the cake."
"Having him as Satan would be a hoot and we're sure he'd relish the role. And we know Billie would find it a giggle."

We can confirm the rumours that Elisabeth Sladen is to be returning to Doctor Who in the next series (season). BBC News is reporting that the character, Sarah Jane who served as a companion for Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker Doctors in the '70s is returning to the show along side of David Tennant (the 10th Doctor) and Billie Piper (Rose Tyler). Elisabeth Sladen originally appeared in the series from 1973 to 1976. She returned as Sarah Jane Smith in both a spin-off pilot K9 and Company as well as the 20th anniversary special The Five Doctors in 1983. Although Sladen will be returning, rest assured that Billie Piper will remain in the entire second series (season) despite rumours stating the contrary.

You know, I'm getting really tired of these so called fannies. OK, they're not called fannies, thats what I call them. They pop up in the sci-fi world whenever something new comes down the pipe. You know the type: "I dont like the new Doctor", "I hate the new Battlestar Galactica", "Jar Jar ruined Star Wars", "Star Trek: The Next Gen wont be as good as the original" On and on.
Science fiction fans consider themselves open minded and foward thinking. Really? Prove it.
Why hate the thing you love? Sit back and be glad 2005 turned out to be the best year for sci-fi/fantasy films and TV since the early 80's.
The same people wearing "Classic Trek" t-shirts (remember those?) are the ones forking over money to keep Enterprise on the air.
Now I read that David Tennant is getting flack from so-called fans unhappy with his choice for Doctor #10. Are you kidding me? Again? Did we NOT learn our lesson? No one has seen him as the Doctor for more than a minute. Russell T. Davies gives me no reason to doubt him. This new series is near perfect. His casting excellent. Yet, here we go again.... Fannies. Didn't you torture J-NT enough? Get over youself. Open your mind, be glad the show has returned. If RTD needs your help, he'll ask. As for me, he won't call me. Come to think of it, he won't call you either!

The Mirror.co.uk is running an article today concerning "backlash" that David Tennant felt he faced after it was announced he would replace Christopher Eccleston as the tenth Doctor.
"I know everybody loved Chris and so did I, but hopefully I won't disappoint people," Tennant stated according to this article. He was dismayed when he read some of the negative fan reactions posted to the BBC site concerning his casting in the role. He laughs off the criticism, but admits that it will be tough to follow Eccleston. He's also looking forward to confronting the Daleks, but is unsure if they will be appearing next year.
