 News coming from the Telegraph (www.telegraph.co.uk) reports that there will be once again another special Doctor Who episode (most likely a mini-episode) produced as a fundraiser for the Children in Need charity.
Last year, a mini-episode was produced that featured two Doctors in a short story where the 10th and 5th Doctor meet in Time Crash starring both David Tennant and Peter Davison. This year, they may be upping the game with all seven living actors to play the role in a one-off episode featuring them all slated for broadcast on the 14th of November.
What is unclear is whether they will be playing their respective roles as the Doctor or not. Also please keep in mind that this has yet to be officially announced. Until it does, please treat this as rumour.

  Introducing the premiere episode of the Sonic Newsdriver, a podcast delivering selected Doctor Who related news stories to you sonically!
This new podcast helps fill the gap between Doctor Who: Podshock episodes with selected news items relating to Doctor Who. It does not replace the news segment in Doctor Who: Podshock which will remain a feature where we discuss the news, give opinions related to it, and announce news items that may or may not had been included on the Sonic Newsdriver. It is a much shorter podcast that will be roughly only 10 to 15 minutes in length.
It is being previewed on the Doctor Who: Podshock feed for a limited time before it breaks off on it's own feed.
If you are already subscribed to either of the Doctor Who: Podshock main feeds, you will automatically receive this episode via the the feed. If not, you can download it here using the link below:
-> Sonic Newsdriver - Episode 1 (20081010) (MP3 format, 5.2 MB (running time 11:17))
-> Sonic Newsdriver - Episode 2 (20081013) (MP3 format, 5.9 MB (running time 12:40))
-> Sonic Newsdriver - Episode 3 (20081014) (MP3 format, 4.1 MB (running time 8:56))
-> Sonic Newsdriver - Episode 4 (20081016) (MP3 format, 4.7 MB (running time 10:06))

  BREAKING NEWS: Peter Davison, the 5th Doctor is the Doctor Who guest for the New England Fan Experience taking place on 21, 22, 23 November 2008 in Cambridge, MA. What better way to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Doctor Who than to see one of the actors to play the title role! It's been a half a decade since Davison was in the area, since that time with the series returning to television there has been an influx of new fans to the series who may never have seen Peter Davison before in person. This will give those fans as well those that may have already seen Davison an opportunity to see him again. Davison himself since that time has reprised his role in the series again with the mini-episode, Time Crash, a Children in Need special episode transmitted last November.

  Two recent deaths to report unfortunately are that of Margot Thomas and Ian Collier, both who had guest roles in Doctor Who.
Margot Thomas played a "Stall holder" in the 1965 story, The Romans. She was 89 when she passed away on 26 September 2008 after a short illness. For many years she actively worked with Cancer Research, her family has suggested donations to Cancer Research instead of flowers.
 Ian Collier was better known to Doctor Who fans for his role as Omega (voice) from the 5th Doctor story, Arc of Infinity (1983), but his first role on the series goes back to the 3rd Doctor story, The Time Monster (1972) in which he played Stuart Hyde. In addition he also had been part of a few Big Finish productions, one of which he reprises his role of Omega in a self titled story. Collier passed away on 1 October. Age and cause of death have not been reported at this time.

 Doctor Who: Podshock LIVE podcasts reviewing the 2008 series ("series 4") have been available on our live feed since originally recorded during the 2008 series. Previously these live raw recordings would enter into post-production to be polished and then placed on our main feeds. This year we decided to keep them on their separate feed while the main feeds focused on studio shows and special live appearances podcasts. If you missed the live over-the-net shows reviewing the 2008 series, you can grab them on the live feed or links below.
Once again these podcasts are right now in their rough, raw, unedited as they were recorded state (with one exception as Dave AC helped by doing post work on one episode (thanks Dave!)). This is not to say that they will not be polished and cleaned up in post-production and made available at a later time. But we don't want that to stall and delay us going forward with new material, new studio shows, etc. So we are offering them up as-is right now in their current unedited state.
Episodes 117 though 129 cover the entire 2008 series of Doctor Who reviewing each episode as they were transmitted on the BBC. There are few episodes marked with the letter "B" after the episode number to indicate that this was a supplemental live recording for the benefit of fans viewing the 2008 series on the Sci-Fi Channel a few weeks after the BBC transmission.

Greetings Everyone,
It is my hope that this finds you all well. While I have not been a huge poster on the forums, nor community, I do appreciate all the great insights and thoughts throughout the threads and podcasts that I have read and listened to daily. I know a few that have been involved with the podcasts, that I met through DWNY. I would like to share with your community a project that Dr. Kristine Larsen (author of "Stephen Hawking: A Biography" (http://www.amazon.com/Stephen-Hawking-Biography-Kristine-Larsen/dp/1591025745)), my wife Jessica Burke and I are planning. It is a collection dedicated to understanding the mythological and the applicability of the mythical in Doctor Who.
The Call for Papers for the collection is pasted below any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Many thanks and I look forward in speaking with you all,
Anthony S Burdge

 If the what The Sun is reporting today is true, it would mean big news for all Doctor Who fans for the upcoming series of specials planned for 2009. The trouble is, by reporting this, we would be giving away a big surprise.... so we won't. Though it is difficult to report on this huge story while keeping it spoiler free.
The news is so big that if true, it is going to be difficult to contain. So as much as this should stay in the spoiler space, eventually it will get out. That being said, we will keep this in the spoiler zone for the time being. BUT if you do wish to learn the news which appears in an article in The Sun today, this is the link to the said article. BE WARNED -- it will ruin a huge surprise for next year -- We can't even tell you the title of the article, but here is the link to it: (Click at your own risk and no, you will not be 'rickrolled'):
