"Parts have been painstakingly sourced and meticulous work has been done to produce a stunning replica," a spokesperson for the company stated.

Ian Clarke, Managing Director commented, "I think the model is the ultimate toy, although it's actually a big ornament."

"It's desirable because it’s such a big thing. It's really impressive."

A new remote-controlled Dalek modeled after the new look introduced in the 2005 series is being touted to be this year's number 1 toy in the UK by The Sun newspaper.

The Sun is offering a chance to win one of 50 of these Daleks when you buy today's Sun newspaper.

The 12 inch tall Dalek will be available in stores next week and will sell for £39.99 in the UK. It features an illuminated eye, flashing lights, and the infamous Dalek synthesized speech including, "Halt, or you will be EXTERMINATED!"

"Daleks have brought some of the most dramatic moments in TV history. These models will give hours of play to anyone wanting to escape into the role of something as exciting as a Dalek," said Jerry Healy, of Character Options, the maker of the Dalek toy.
