I'd just like to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the new series. I think its done a great job with keeping certain fundamentals, while adding new and more complex twists to the series. Both Rose and the new Doctor are quickly become favorite characters of mine in The Doctor Who Universe, and I like how they went back to the one male/one female companion scheme, not done since Davidson.

It's interesting to see that so many of the people that has responded thus far
that they have seen the new series, are those that are not being broadcast
    locally for them.

I for one didn't see any of the 2005 series, aside from the <i>Confidentials</
i> and trailers the BBC put up on the internet, until I was able to buy the
DVDs legally a month ago. So I've seen them, but I can't really respond
    according the poll choices.

What was most interesting to me was that I was totally shocked by the fact
that it wasn't just a Rose/Doctor TARDIS for the whole season, but that we
actually got a three- and even four-person TARDIS for a while. In fact, one of
my favorite parts of the whole season is something that a lot of people, I've
since discovered, don't really like--the first 15 minutes of "Boom Town". I
ADORE the "Jack/Mickey/Rose/Doctor" banter, and think it totally disproves
the Davison and JNT excuse that those early Davison shows fell under the
weight of a "crowded" TARDIS. Nonsense. Harry/Sarah/Doctor worked, so
did Jamie/Zoe/Doctor, so did Ian/Barbara/Vicki/Doctor. The most sublime
moment of the whole season, for me, was the "chasing Margaret" scene.
