This is a hard one to answer. As I always said in the past (and Ken can attest to
this), my answer to this question is usually which ever Doctor I happen to be
watching at the time. Tough one... Let me sleep on it...

It seems to me that the Doctor that people like the most is the one they started with. Such, however, is not the case with me. Jon Pertwee is my favourite Doctor Who. His shows were largely in colour but they still essentially had the B/W effects and certainly didn't depend at all on them. His portrayal was the most complete. His responses and even body language were nearly perfect for how I felt the Doctor should react. The complaints that the costumes were ridiculous and the fact that the Doctor was Earthbound, never bothered me. There were many truly amazing stories and I didn't mind that it was in a familiar setting – and costumes? P-lease... Many new villains were introduced (The Master, Autons, Sontarans, etc.) Plus this period does have the majority of shows for two of the best actors to ever perform in Doctor Who, Roger Delgado and Nicholas Courtney. I also feel that the collection of episodes that made up “The Daemons” is the all-around best.
