Correspondent Amy Krell
AKA "Gallifreyan Irregular"
Amy Krell was born in Brooklyn, NY, but her parents got smart and moved the family to Los Angeles when she was a teenager. A big Trekkie and movie crazy as a kid, Amy tricked her way into a Film degree from UCLA, during which time she interned for David Byrne and Harry Shearer. She proceeded to work, underpaid, in all aspects of film production, eventually rising to the dubious level of producer. Her production street cred includes such gems as "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "The Gambler, Part IV" with David Carradine and the SciFi Channel's "Gryphon." Amy's work has taken her all over creation, from Texas to Canada to Mexico to Germany to Romania and the UK, her second favorite place in the world.
Tired of working for the Man, Amy formed Page Four Productions with colleague Mark Rudnitsky. There, she manages all aspects of physical production, as well as jointly overseeing the company’s creative direction with Mark.
Amy's Doctor Who street cred is also impeccable. In the late seventies, while still in infancy, Amy assisted her dearest friend Lucy Chase Williams in running the first two Who conventions in the US. The first featured Tom Baker's maiden visit to an American convention (see photographic evidence), and the second featured Elisabeth Sladen and Amy's pen pal at the time, Ian Marter. A third, in the form of the First and Only Doctor Who Softball Game Picnic Ever, featured Louise Jameson.
Amy's current goal in life, other than to marry into an EU passport, is to work with as many former Doctor Who actors as possible. She plans to begin this quest on her next film for the Sci-Fi Channel, which she will hopefully begin shortly. Wish her luck.
