Took my daughter to the Brattle Theater in Cambridge for Hooked On Who III. Saw two David Tennant (the Library). Lots of people, a few in costume. Had Capt. Jack, Astrid, a Tom Baker Doctor complete with scarf(although hers was cooler. Had a pocket in it where she keeps her jelly babies) and a beautifully handmade 10th doctor doll.
It was really nice to see it on the screen with a large audience. They're going to do it again in August so we'll be there. (just don't tell the BBC)
Big News tonight!

All good things...
First, the big announcement:
At the end of the day on July 31, 2009, Outpost Gallifrey and the Doctor Who Forum are closing their doors for good.
www.gallifreyone.com will be solely the convention home page as of August 1, 2009.
If you noticed in the other threads that have various replies, that they are threaded. By which I mean the replies are kept together. See Forum Test for an example of what I mean.
Optionally it "flat" comment thread I believe will follow the format of our forum of our 2.0 site. Each new reply is added to the bottom and not grouped with the message it is replying to in the thread. At least to my understanding I believe that is how flat will work.
Without being able to automatically insert a quotation into the reply from the message we are replying to, I think threaded may work better. But perhaps it may be harder to follow. I guess we will see how it pans out in use here.
A thread for CIA Info & Updates - and the first piece of info is that I've been checking the CIA Episode numbers after Darth brought it up on Sunday's show.
As we are not yet up to Episode 100.
Sunday will be Episode 93 - 'Wizard Top 4 Sci-Fi Shows'
I like the 'Follow us on Twitter' better than the 'Widget' you had in Beta. (see left side of forums)
It never seemed to match the style of the new forum and was dificult to 'box'
Maybe it will also encourage Ken to get a twitter account :-)
New and returning members please post in this thread to add your thanks to Louis for a great deal of hard work to get this new & improved Gallifreyan Embassy site online.
Thanks Louis for all your hard work.
Hopefully - myself included - we will soon all be clicking on that 'Donate' button at the top of the page.
