Just a quick couple of bits of housekeeping.
1) FOX is talking to Russell T Davies about doing a script for Torchwood. If there is a US or International Torchwood series, it will be covered in Torchwood This Week section like the existing show.

Another group reach their 25th Anniversary!

As many of the GE forum readers know I try to highlight the good work done by a local group here in the UK.
Well that group - The Hyde Fundrasiers reach their 25th Anniversary just like the GE this year!
The Charity group uses Doctor Who & other Science Fiction related characters to raise funds for local, national & international charities like Children in Need reach 25.
Cheers, daveac

Nic Cage as Everyone - Doctor Who
As the first commenter says, this is just wrong. But it's still pretty cool.

Written January 2, 6:30AM EST - 10.4 million overnight viewers on BBC One for The End Of Time, Part Two. Congratulations! And Matt Smith, welcome to the show!

Master Mask, Courtesy of the BBC
The mind boggles - no, I'm not going to rush out and "put elastic on it," and I am old enough to cut it out myself, than you very much, but, having been very impressed with Mr. Simm in person, I just don't know what I'm going to do with this mask. Hmmm.... Thanks, BBC! Happy Holidays, everyone!!!

Paul Cornell's 12 Blogs of Christmas - Doctor Who Style

Paul Cornell has a series on his blog, The 12 Blogs of Christmas this holiday season.
In the latest entry, The 12 Blogs of Christmas: Eleven. Millennium Eve he features some of his fellow Doctor Who folk… included are Russell T Davies, Steven Moffat, Gary Russell, Murray Gold, James Moran, Noel Clarke, even a familiar name from Doctor Who: Podshock is there too.
In it, we are recounting what we were doing ten years ago as we rang in the new millennium.
Actually, it is quite humbling to be sharing such company on the same page. I thank Paul, he is a lovely person and friend. As I said in my piece included in Paul's blog, take nothing for granted.

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year!
Not posted a blog for a while so here is a Christmas message from myself and Ian the6thdoctor on behalf of The Cultdom Collective Podcast.

The end of David Tennant's time in the TARDIS is near. And he goes out with Doctor Who's 5th annual Christmas event! Merry Christmas, Doctor - you're doomed! Quick premiere rundown:

Your BBC Radio 4 Update
Lots to listen to coming up on BBC Radio 4 - luckily, we can use "listen again" on the iPlayer. And, anyway, haven't I employed enough BBC actors by now to get to use the damn thing here? :)
Here's a cool one:
Doctor Who - The Lost Episodes: Shaun Ley investigates what happened to 108 missing episodes of Doctor Who from the 1960s, why the tapes were wiped and how dedicated fans hunted down copies of other episodes in film collections from Cyprus to New Zealand. And while we may have lost those early programmes, Shaun hears how home recordings ensured all the audio survived.

The end of David Tennant's time in the TARDIS is near. Quick premiere rundown:

The 8th Doctor and his 'Company of Friends'
To make up for having to miss out
on going to meet the man himself at Chicago TARDIS, I settled instead for the
pleasure of listening to the recent Big Finish 8th Doctor audio –
“The Company of Friends”. And a real delight it was too (more details on that
below!). While listening to it, I marveled at the breadth of “friends” (or
companions) that the 8th Doctor has accumulated, across a wide range
of mediums. In fact, all told, it is possible that the 8th Doctor may
have had more companions (15, by my rough count) than any other incarnation!
This is all the more astonishing given the brevity of his television
appearances – about 50-55 minutes of a 90-minute TV movie.

John Simm in "Speaking in Tongues" in London
Dear John Simm:
I loved you in "Life on Mars," adored you as The Master, but, buddy, you were really awesome in this play. Which wasn't very good. And I was sitting in the front row fearing for my life because Ian Hart almost beat an audience member up a few nights before for allegedly talking during the show. But you were great and it was worth it. Next time, pick a better play. I'll be there, in the front row, savoring every minute of it.
Best,
Amy
