With all due respect, RTD may like to tie things up nicely but often, he doesn't. Having Rose go off with a fake Doctor human is not tying things up nicely. Having Donna lose her memory is not tying things up nicely. And for what sounded awful on paper: was awful IMO in LAST OF THE TIME LORDS, NEXT DOCTOR, JOURNEY'S END, etc etc etc. The man's track record does not speak for itself. Had this been the end of season two or even the middle of season three I'd say yes but too much crap has "graced" our screens in DW since then including the back up a minute and redo the last few days of the extremly sigh inducing Master two (three?) parter, the Earth being moved without any problems and Daleks killing only those who don't really matter (bar Harriet Jones) to the Doctor or anyone really that we knew or careda bout in JOUNREY'S END, and the extremly hackneyed way...to me RTD is having some kind of Writer's Block and yet still writing. At this point he should pass the writer duties on to others...and fast. I mean the finale is going to smack of CRAP just like most of the recent stuff.

It may not be rational, but the most often given reason by those who speculate about this subject is that the Beeb does not want to make it easy for ITV (or others) to schedule their competing programs favorably against the BBC's programming.
Kind of wish I hadn't looked at that. Major spoiler ... either confirms you wildest wish and/or your worst nightmare, depending on how you look at things. Oh, well.
In the world of, erm, the archaic print media we've known for decades (centuries!) that there's a comfort zone for the back-and-forth motion of the human eyeball, and the new layout of this site fits it perfectly. So I think it's perfect. Except, as daveac pointed out, that long threads will get vanishingly narrow...
That is very odd. All you did is check off a radio button and hit submit? No, that shouldn't had happened. We have been getting votes on the poll. I know it had been working and the test I just did now shows it is working for me.
Did you try doing it again? If not, try it.
It shouldn't be happening. The way things are set up, makes it even more odd that it did happen. I am hoping it was just a fluke.
If anyone else is having this issue, please let me know.
That's more like it. Easy to watch. This episode moves faster and the sets are if possible, even better looking in morning light. The DVD text made me realize that there are more than just the writer and Sheila Ruskin (Cassia) linked to the second season of SPACE: 1999. Johnny Bryne who wrote THE METAMORPH for SPACE: 1999 used some of the aspects of Pscyhe and Rapport and even Mentor and Maya for the Keepership and Tremas and Nyssa here.
Once more it strikes me that a TV writer like Bryne can write well for Adric and Bidmead can give some pointers but Adric takes the lead role of companion well, seems smarter than Nyssa, doesn't brag about learning new science from either her or the Traken science, is useful to both Nyssa and the Doctor and comes up with stuff before even the Doctor does. In almost all ways, he is a useful, but vulnerable companion and fits the role totally and perfectly. He's pleaseant when he meets Nyssa and relates well to her and Tremas. He picks locks, too. In fact, the Doctor does little here and Adric does a great deal more.
Shelia Ruskin did a great job in a strange second season SPACE: 1999 ep, LAMDA FACTOR, almost like a first season story of that series. Here, she's a bit annoying as the evil minded Cassia, but she's being controlled. She does seem to want to be controleld, however, but she does try to resist Melkur's control but fails utterly. It was intresting to note that Melkur knew the Doctor was a Time Lord and seems to know him by name.
I'm still perplexed by the Traken ways. Why rapport with the Keeper with just two people, one to watch behind closed doors. In the first ep, they seemed to ahve everyone around to summon the Keeper but now I guess rapport is different? Also: if the Keeper can do some much, why can't he stop Cassia as he seems to know she is behind all the bad stuff? Not sure if it was due to his waning powers.
It's intresting to note Adric mentions sleeping in the TARDIS. Not sure I've EVER heard that since MARCO POLO!
Anyway anther good episode, TOm's a bit sedate but still okay and at times, his physical presencse seems to eclipse the guest cast in the way he's filmed, almost giant at times.
Well nowadays with Movie Magic anything is possible. I mean if they could finish THE CROW without Brandon Lee, what over 10 years ago? then they could do a full 11 Doctors. And Pat and Jon's sons sound so much like them...voices anyone. But alas ego and production idealogoy will keep any Chris movie or any multi Doctor movie or tv story for that matter from us. RTD doesn't like Multi Doc stories and I suspect it's because they want the current Doc to get all the kudos and avoid comparisions. Truth is if done correctly multi Doc stories can be fun and well done (don't mind THE TWO DOCTORS though, that's awful) but we'll never see that thanks to ego, commericialism, and ...indifference to the past of the show i any real meaningfuil context. Still we might get to see Davros, the Msater, The Rani, Romana, The Monk, Gallifrey, the Doc's mom and dad and all the companoins milling about together AGAIN! Naw, jus tkidding.
Chris and Paul in a movie would be great but I think any Time War movie is doomed to failure as the Time War should stay i n the realm of our imaginations.
My ratings (as best as my memory serves) of the audios I have listened to:
I must admit that many of the 8th Doctor, Charley, Krizz audios seem to be almost boring and not memorable so I left some of your ratings for those. There are a few I almost totally forgot. The Reaping, the Gathering, and the Boy That Time Forgot are the three worst IMO with Boy the absolute worst.

Well as long as you've got an open mind, that's the main thing...
It's Simm, by the way, not Simms.

I'm only available until 2–3 AM, sorry.
It may not be rational, but the most often given reason by those who speculate about this subject is that the Beeb does not want to make it easy for ITV (or others) to schedule their competing programs favorably against the BBC's programming.
Can somebody provide a rational reason as to why the BBC is so hesitant to give air dates until like a week or two before hand? :)
It seems like a terrible way to advertise your product... when nobody knows for certain when it'll be on.
I converted your signature code to HTML, so it should be working now.

testing sig file....
