Barry Letts -- odd coincidence

So for some reason I decided to celebrate the current nationwide cold snap by watching one of the ultimate oh-my-god-it's-too-cold films, SCOTT OF THE ANTARCTIC. It's a true story that has always fascinated me, so I've read many books on the subject. Well... one of the best books about the Scott expedition was THE WORST JOURNEY IN THE WORLD written by expedition survivor Apsey Cherry-Gerard. So I sat up and took notice when Cherry-Gerard's character appeared in the film...

... after which I wondered who the actor was. And who was it? Why, none other than Barry Letts, who would later produce some of the very best episodes of our favorite TV show, and who left us this year at the ripe old age of 84.
Y'know, he did NOT produce SEEDS OF DOOM. Maybe he'd had enough of Antarctica.
