New Doctor Who Stage Show is Making Plans for Nigel

There is another Doctor Who stage show in the works, but Trevor Martin won't be returning for the title role. The Press Association reports the following:
The Press Association: 'TV hippy' in Doctor Who stage show:
"Actor Nigel Planer - best known for his role as TV hippy Neil in The Young Ones - is to take centre stage in the new live-action Doctor Who tour.
The hit BBC One show is being adapted for the stage in a nine-city arena tour which will begin next month with Daleks and Cybermen among the evil creatures which will be brought to life.
Now Planer has been unveiled as the star who will act as the production's lynchpin, starring as a travelling showman Vorgensen.
The character journeys the galaxy spreading tales of the Doctor's exploits and using his 'minimiser' gadget he can conjure up any of the Time Lord's foes for his audience.
Doctor Who's executive producer Steven Moffatt has created the character specially for the touring version."
It is reported that Matt Smith will appear in the show via recorded segments created specifically for this new stage show.
Daleks will be seen to be flying in this performance thanks to the handiwork of The Twins illusionists. In addition to the Daleks, other familiar characters of recent years from the television series will also take to the stage including Cybermen, Weeping Angels, Judoon, Silurians, Winders, Scarecrows, Vampires, Clockwork Robots and the Ood.
Doctor Who veteran Nick Briggs is also involved playing Winston Churchill.
The touring show is scheduled for nine cities and 25 dates starting 8-10 of October in London Wembley Arena. The tour is limited to the UK and tickets are on sale now.
