K9 S1E2 Liberation [SPOILERS]

Not much in the second part either. K–9 spends quite a bit of time incapacitated. True to character, huh? The characters are annoying to me. Doesn't bode well for the series so far.

The Snowmen
The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe
I loved this episode. I also liked the pilot. I gave it an 8/10. I went into this without any expectations or rather I heard many hated the series, that some of the season was not shown it was so bad and that I know I Liked the pilot but if was rough around the edges. Here, we had dozens of aliens, some of them looked VERY alien. The three young leads are likable and thrust to the center of the action. I find this more exciting than Sarah Jane and Torchwood both of which seem to like themselves far too much. Yes, K9 got sidelined and weakened far too much in this episode but again, I enjoy watching juvenile adventures that do not have pretentions about what they are: DW in season 5 thought it was so much better than everything and truthfully it pales in comparision to a straight foward adventure like this ep. The other thing is that I don't know why they took pains to set this in London when it is clearly Australia and some of the accents are hardly covered up but it does not bother me. It looks futuristic and sounds great. K9 looks great, even when flying. I just like the adventure this poses rather than the cheap gimmicks of DW season five, Sarah Jane season four and all of the awful Torchwood. It's an enjoyable kid's show with no pretentions.
