K9 S1E12 Alien Avatar [SPOILERS]

Drake has got two aliens captive and is trying to steal their technology. This attempt is causing some alien substance to kill fish in the Thames. I like how Jorgie's mom and Drake are struggling with each other in the Department.
The episodes in this series are just 25-ish minutes in length and most of them so far have been mostly self contained stories with some minor "arc" developments. I don't know whether it is that I am more receptive to the series now than when I watched the first four episodes, or whether the series has actually gotten better, but I'm finding that I'm enjoying the series so far. Sure, on the main it is definitely a children's show, but it is not the embarrassment I feared it to be. Then again, Bob Baker was involved in the writing duties for The Claws of Axos, The Mutants, The Three Doctors, The Sontaran Experiment, The Hand of Fear, The Invisible Enemy, Underworld, The Armageddon Factor, and Nightmare of Eden forDoctor Who amongst other programs, so he does have a track record.
I liked the concept of aliens using avatars, but in this story it was just a device to move along the story, and not really used in a novel fashion.
