Doctor Who - Star Trek crossover is official!
Cut and Paste from my blog "Realm Beyond Sight" http://realmbeyondsight.blogspot.com/
Crossovers have been the subject of fan fiction for many years. However, when a crossover is made official it creates excitement on a whole other level for fans.
Starting in May, IDW Publishing will officially print a comic series that will bring two of the biggest science fiction franchises together; Doctor Who and Star Trek. More specifically, they will be using Star Trek: The Next Generation. The series will feature the Doctor, Rory, Amy, Captain Picard, Worf, Data, Geordie LaForge, Deanna Troy, Will Riker and the rest of the Star Trek team. The image seen right featuring the Doctor, Rory, & Amy from Doctor Who will be used as one cover in the series.
Star Trek has seen crossovers before having met with the X-Men in 1996 and 1998 and The Legion of Superheroes in 2011. Doctor Who on the other hand has never had an official crossover outside of the Doctor Who universe.
There are no official details yet but with the Doctor Who convention Gallifrey One only a week away, you can be sure that an official announcement will be made and possibly some details given as well.

The Snowmen
The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe
There was another crossover between Star Trek and Doctor Who back in the mid-1980s. Although I don't recall it being a comic book, it may had an illustrated book. It had the 4th Doctor on board the original Enterprise.
I seem to remember seeing it on the shelves back in the '80's. I seem to recall the cover having Spock doing a 'mind-meld' on the Doctor.
I think it was put out by the company that put out the now-defunct magazine "Fantasy Empire" and was released around the the time 20th or 21st season of "Doctor Who".
I wish I could remember the title of it.
