The Cultdom Collective Interview with Anthony and Jessica

Greetings friends,

Anthony Burdge here, editor/author of The Mythological Dimensions of Doctor Who.  I would like to offer a bit of an update from my end about our new book, and our book signing event, plus our review of Ken Deep and James Naughton new podcasting venture: Doctor Who: An Occasional Podcast.

Firstly our first two books, The Mythological Dimensions of Doctor Who and the award winning The Mythological Dimensions of Neil Gaiman have been re-published under the Myth Ink Books publishing imprint. Our publisher Kitsune Books closed on 12/31/12 and both are now again available via Amazon and other online booksellers, plus for your Kindle devices as well.

Secondly, our third book, The Friendly Horror and Other Weird Tales, is out!! It is our first collection of short stories, which is within the HP Lovecraft Cthulhu Mythos.  The Lovecraft Mythos should not be unfamiliar with Doctor Who fans. Over the years numerous novelizations have incorporated the Lovecratian mythos, plus Big Finish has dramatized Doctor Who stories with Lovecraftian elements, such as the 7th Doctor story: Lurkers at Sunlights edge.  Our collection of short stories is Lovecraftian in nature with numerous homages to the Doctor and his universe

For some great insight into the crossing of the Doctor Who and Lovecraft Mythos check out these articles:

Plus Dave Cooper of The Cultdom Collective Podcast conducted an interview with my wife, co author, Jessica Burke and myself recently, which can be found here:

We will be signing copies of our book The Friendly Horror and Other Weird Tales this Saturday, September 21st 2013 1pm-5pm at Hypno-Tronic Comics a 5 minute walk from the Staten Island Ferry

and lastly we have reviewed the latest podcasting adventure from none other than Ken Deep and James Naughton, Doctor Who: An Occasional Podcast. We highly suggest subscribing and sending in your thoughts to Ken and James, but do leave a review on the iTunes subscription page.

In the three episodes thus far, Ken and James provide solid commentary, extraordinary views into  the 50th anniversary story, and the casting of Peter Capaldi. They address rumors and speculation with concrete well thought out commentary.
